Don't give up hope mate, I'm sure your gold medal will be secure, but if you're not 100% certain, then run more laps until you clock in a time that you feel that is safe for sure, and enjoy your beer. Happy Easter 2025! And maybe some rest will help clear your mind and maybe you'll do better than you did today. I had those days back then so you are not alone in this situation.
I didn’t and now I feel safe!

After many invalidated laps in the 1.9s and an optimal in the 1.8s I finally secured my sub 62 second time.

Morning!

Had myself a little dessert session this morning, rented a 4C and tried to get some less nerveouse runs cause that seems to be my weak spot here, smooth seems to be the fastest way without much agression.
It all went well until I reached T5, everytime I toutch the sand it was done....I have no clue how you stable things out there @Metalgear9493 ...epic exit as expected 🙏

So only one thing to do for me.... less sand 🤣, and got some more consistent all over with a lot of 2's

Best run was .592 on the split but I soooo messed up the final turn after that.... was way too soon with my input ( witch never happens there ofcourse, only on your first .5 split 🤣)

But a descent lap for me on a GR4 combo, I think somewhere in the .1's is indeed doable we will see.. happy for now though.

Lap

Ingame lap with Metal set at 0.3, now you can clearly see howmuch the final did cost 😱

@Jeje6410 ease up buddy, you are getting to close to fast 🤣💪👌

Things were not stabling out there for the majority of that session, I can assure you of that🤣. I hit that corner perfectly probably 3 times in 200 miles.

Hence why I haven't returned to it since..

try the wide line in T1
This definitely helps. I adjusted my T1 approach and rather than trying to be close to the inside bank, I found turning with the front wheels tracing along the blue dashed line to be a better result.
Damn it Camit!
Glad I put in the effort to improve yesterday. I figured there would be last minute improvements with this one. I figured the top 3 Japanese drivers would all be trying to outdo each other....
Silver?
😝
I'm sure it begins with S but perhaps not silver. :D

mostly looks like a matter of the top driver just trying to outdo himself at this point. He's dropped the record 3 times now and nobody else has moved at all I don't think...

Hi guys

I probably had 3 or 4 tenths of a second left to chase, but it was time for me to take the road to Easter holidays, this time with the roars of a real V8 and authentic gasoline vapors.

Finally happy to have reached the gold for my first test on snow (thanks again @LSFDRX ), and to get closer to @RB_Free and @daabulls 😉

No time to have fun with you at Willow Spring, so enjoy and see you in a week.

Ps: on the road to the holidays, we often see beautiful things.

Beautiful picture.

Well done you snow plowing maniacs @imChris and @Barareklam , perseverence mates! Epic laps both of you!

It was tempting for me to try again but as said earlier I was a little done with it and new I left time on the table at Willow so chose to spent my morning run in the 4C.

Still very tricky to navigatie through the second sector and when you finally nail it then you still have the final corner left where you have way to much time to think ehat you shouldn't do before you actually have the turn itself 🤣

But finally into the .1's with a descent lap, still not optimal but for a GR4 event.....ill take it! 😁😁

Had a looooong session last night in the snow at Lake Louise, but for the life of me could not string a better lap together than my PB without clipping something. Optimal splits were a mid 61.8, but couldn't get a clean lap below 62.1. With only 0.005 between me and silver though, I still wanted to improve and had a quick session this morning before breakfast and FINALLY landed a 61.9 - only took me 542 miles   - Camit would need a 60.170 to knock me out of gold, so fingers crossed this is safe. I'm out!

I think I'll be able to squeeze in one last session in Lake Louise sometime today. It's honestly been such a fun TT. I wouldn't be surprised if this is my most-played TT so far, since my m.o. has been to clock in a secured Gold and move on. I also did not expect to do as good as I have so far given that this was also my first go at snow-driving, but results-wise this would be my best TT so far; I guess having fun really does go a long way! 😁

I may even keep coming back to this combo on my own in the game, and maybe even host a lobby with some friends and/or my boy.
