Unsolicited questions:
I see that you are listed as a wheel user, what type of pedals?
Is the sliding understeer or oversteer?
Is the sliding on corner entry or exit?

These answers may help to find your issues.

Sliding is more understeer, corner entry - in this TT I noticed quite a lot of improvement when I took the last corner a bit easier with less throttle, thus didn't induce the understeer. I'm pretty sure I start turning while still too fast for some corners (true overall, not just this TT), for example the hairpin after the winding front straight before heading to the tunnel. I feel that I take the hairpin after the tunnel in a much better way.

I do encounter sliding and oversteer on corner exit because I'm just too eager getting on the throttle - and spin out, so that mistery is more or less solved :) Understeer what really bothers me - just thinking about the Big Willow TT, right after that stupid left loop on the top there's a left hander before heading to the last section, I get some "nice" understeer, as well.

I'm pretty sure I saved both replays, so I will take @KAlex122's suggestion (Vielen Dank!) and try to post them.

If you experience understeer on corner entry and oversteer on exit then you're probably giving too much steering input. This video explains that phenomena nicely:

Tidgney sometimes mentions this phenomenon in slightly simplified but pretty intuitive way: the tires can only do 100% total. 100% breaking (or accelerating) and any steering at the same time is close to impossible. 100% breaking and a lot of steering definitely is.

I also once heard Rory Alexander explain it with a literal string. He tied one end to his toe and the other to the bottom of his wheel. This made it physically impossible to turn the wheel when applying full breaking.

Of course this is simplified as well and the actual physics involved are much more complex than this but the gist of both of these examples is absolutely correct.

Edit: Suellio Almeida is a good instructor and is one of few content creators who goes in depth on such topics. Personally he is a bit too much of a sales guy trying to pitch his products but dude gotta eat I guess.

Thanks to @Wilsonson I have to go for gold now :D

I managed to shave down about .5 second (and forgot to save the replay...), went from 1:51.383 to 1:50.816:

This is all well and good but what really bothers me is my apparent optimal:

Optimal was 1:50.148, should be easy gold, provided I would be able to string the best sectors together. I haven't even noticed until now that my best lap so far doesn't even have any of the best sector times LOL. I even did a 42.035 first sector once, so my optimal is almost 1:50 flat... I'm scared a bit now with all this pressure :)

Guys! We have a new one! :gtpflag:

I'd say that the circumstances are ideal with this combo, lucky coincidence :) The only other combo I felt I could genuinely get gold (not like the Daytona oval one) was the 155 V6 Ti on Watkins Glen Short but didn't have the opportunity to go after it. I keep fighting for bronzes though :D

Thankfully I've been able to secure Gold for both of the current TTs despite not being able to log in the time I'm usually able to. Been pretty busy, but mostly the lot of my spare time has been allocated to watching all the 1st Round Playoff games in the NBA 🏀🤓. That's on top of all the motorsports I'm also following.

Must finally be Spring cause all the sportz are here! 😄

So, this would be the time to tell you to stop doing the DeLorean TT :)

My optimal would be now 1:49.9ish, managed to bring down the first sector pretty consistently to 41.8-42.2 but now I mess up the 2nd and 3rd sectors :D Never had any consistency but I think that having an actual simrig does help with its stability (confirmation bias maybe :)).

Evening, y'all! The first TT laps since my surgery - over a month and a half ago. I am rusty! Regardless, it's nice to be back. :dopey: My fast lap was a mess. But I think with some work, I can run a sub 48 before the TT ends next week. My optimal was a 48 flat. I am quite far down my friend leaderboard, though. You guys have taken off like rocket ships!
