Hello community 🤙
So can anyone provide me with some good tips on how to drive properly with the Toyota GR010 '21 with BOP on at Spa Circuit?
FYI: I'm going to participate in an endurance race with a mix of other Hypercars (Porsches, Peugeots,Audis) and Group C cars (Nissans,Mazdas, Mercedes) and I'm restricted to that particular vehicle 😅👍.

Thanks everyone 🤙

The 919 will be the fastest there. The GR0'10 will be fast down the straights but you'll have less downforce in corners. You will not be able to corner as well as the rest. Your strengths will be with straight line overtakes.

To get the best out of this car and circuit, try to use as much kerbing as you can in the entry, clipping point and apex's of the turns. Think of smooth lines and patience with a good flow.

Above all else, practice alot before you enter this one. You don't have the best car for it and it will be difficult. Depending on the skillset of your competition.

Hello mate,
Thank you for your reply 👍
Indeed the 919 will wipe the floor with the rest of us there 😅. Unfortunately Spa doesn't have any good straights like LeMans for the Toyota to shine 🫤. I first tried the GR010 yesterday after I've posted this thread and i must say that the the car is just awful 😞 (for Spa at least). I really don't understand how can that car have good reviews overall when the only thing that favors it is it's straight line speed... period. The electric part of it doesn't not deploy conveniently and doesn't recharge itself fast enough, the car doesn't generate proper downforce for a "new" hypercar and because of that, its breaking power is very weak and it has some awful entry to mid corner understeer if you push it a little bit harder, and for a 4WD it snaps its rear waaay to often and to easy 🫤.
In short... it's not a nice car (at least for me anyway 😅). Maybe you can make it an excellent machine without BOP....but with it turned on... it's just a Big NO NO.
But i have no choice and I'm stuck with it so I've to try to make something reasonably good out of it 😅😅👍

The problem is that it's a Hypercar yup. It's not an LMP1 as they brought in rules to reduce the aero and downgrade its performance.

So technically you're entering an F1 race with an F2 car let's say.

The BOP is wildly skewed among the cars. If I were you i'd suggest doing the race as a one make perhaps?

If not then you'll just have to go slow in the corners. I really don't think there's much you can do with it around there.
