What Day and Time Would be Best for you to make the Xfinity Race?

I'm thinking about doing a sort of "wildcard" thing for the Route X race in the Xfinity Series. A sort of if you win you're in. Any thoughts?
Adding on to the initial four that were already planned? That seems like backpedaling and it wouldn't be fair to everyone that have attended just for the purpose of getting the championship.

It would only apply to people still in it (9th-5th), but if jacksupermac or A_BOWLING_DEMON doesn't show up, then you'll be able to win to get in.

I'd say no. People have worked hard to get as close as they have. That battle for the final spot is really close. Adding this would ruin it and a potentially great race. Here's my rationale, since I'm already locked in I could care less.
1) Adding it onto the top 4: This would be essentially a race killer in itself first and foremost. There wouldn't be a green flag run because everyone not in would want to win. This also would be a horrible idea for everyone who have cut time out of their day despite whatever else they want to do to have a shot at this. Giving people the chance of "Hey, you missed half the season but you can be Champion" ruins the point of having a championship and I would seriously consider not racing Motegi at all if that was the case. It would be a robbery.
2) A lottery for the final spot: This could work, and it would only work if you evened out the points for everyone 4th-9th (bringing everyone to 61 points). That would work and the best finisher (that doesn't kill everyone for a second straight week) could bring it to the battle at Motegi. That's the only way I see the scenario working without any drawback.
3) Leave it how it was: Obviously, the term "If it ain't broken, don't fix it" applies here. There's a four person battle for that final spot and all four have a legitimate claim to it that would also be a considerable contender at Motegi. It would be a good idea to leave it how it is and let Darwinism do what it does best.

You would skip out on Motegi if option 1 applied. I'm fairly certain I know why.

You probably do. If someone were to steal the win and get in, I'd be irate and I wouldn't feel comfortable with having that person in contention. He can't handle high pressure and HSR showed that finitely. I can draw several people who would whole-heartedly agree.

You are basing this off the idea that HSR was everyone at their best. Everyone has bad races, hell, you are someone I'd say has them every race. And to top that off, you're going to be at Route X if I'm correct? You'd be able to play a factor in who gets in regardless. I wouldn't be whining about one person over one bad race. You guys take it like it was an absolute catastrophe, which is silly.

I've yet to have a good race with that person. I don't feel comfortable with that person because that person has absolutely no control or patience, which for these final two races is what should determine the championship. I would race Motegi because I have nothing else considerable to take my time, but I wouldn't put my effort into it. That person hasn't impressed me at all. Raw speed, sure, it's easy being fast, I'm fast to a point. But racing is different, and I'm no expert but I am consistently on podium here which counts for something.

Well I wouldn't care if trobes leaves it the way it was and on that whole deal i was hoping we would leave that in the past

A good part of why this conversation is happening is because of that race. You're wanting a chance to get in because you did absolutely horrendous and blew up your chance at HSR. It's subtle manipulation and it isn't right. I'd put anyone else currently on that points board in the fourth spot. Borwn was lucky enough to catch that final restart and move to second at the finish. Assassins and Alan who needed excellent races had them ruined, which did create an excellent battle on the cutoff. But you're hoping that you catch an exemption which doesn't sit well with me.
Actually Hardy, I REALLY like Option 2. I think I'll go with that.
It's about the best way I could think of that working.

My question is why would you really care? You're in third, guaranteed a mathematical spot in the Motegi fight. Why would you be bothered so bad?

The deserving person wouldn't have made in. The idea of someone slouching in isn't a good championship battle. It doesn't matter anyways. I just know who I'm not helping this weekend, and I'll go from there. I won't be racing to win, but I'll help someone get there.

Out of curiosity, who do you think deserves to be there since you're throwing that card a lot?

Hardy I WILL SCREAM TO THE HEAVENS I had a bad race and i would have to win route X which is a crapshoot.

and without my help last weekend you would have been a second off but i guess that serves me right

Alan or Jayden. Had Jayden not been grounded or kept away from his PS3, the top four would have been decided already. Alan is the only other person who's tried every week, which earned my respect. These two races are his best chance at winning something and it would honestly be a great feeling to see him win something.

I never used your setup in the race. It was horrible in the long runs which was what I was needing.

You're joking. That is reaching at clouds to an extreme. I won't even try...

I never threw a certain race back in someones face every time they started a new league which i would join because i have respect for them but if people don't want me to race i will just sit on the sidelines

I would race just to make them mad. Why not? Prove that they're wrong.

Not to bash on him, but you would only be able to experience the horror that was Dcrimnal at HSR if you were there. Just look at the penalties log, there would be at least 4 more if I wasn't being lenient.

No that would just get in your way while driving. Your just going to have to wait until i get in to the room on saturday :)

Good thing too, if jacksupermac and A_BOWLING_DEMON don't show up, you'll be eligible for the 4th spot in the final 4, you'll just have to beat everyone else in 4th-9th. But if Brown, and Pure show up, you'll have to fight them, and the others in 4th-9th for the spot in the final 4.
That sounds like too much work.
