"ROLLRING STAAAART!" Yes! Great to see this series awake from its slumber. Armory Digital, as usual, at its nuttiest. Cool race!

Pretty good race, a few derpy moments as expected from NR2003, and another nice top 5 to keep me in the game.

One niggle; the commentary was hard to hear at times. It's close, but still needs a bit more balance. Good video, Michelin.

I removed your commentary from the spoiler to make it easy.

When I was putting the commentary on the video, I had balanced it alright, but the video rendering failed and Sony Vegas crashed. Tried a second time, Vegas crashed. Third time, repeat.
On the fourth attempt it rendered, but I forgot to adjust the commentary and video volume to make the commentary easier to listen. I just now remembered it. '-'

Glover is leading the championship after the very same race he commentated (yes he was leading before, but that's not the point)?

Hmm... There's no possible bias there, none whatsoever. Good job keeping the bias away, Mich. :sly:

And no Pontiac won the Pontiac-themed race... As a Pontiac driver in other series, I cri everytime. I can be happy with not dying in the first pileup crash though, I'll gladly take my finishing position.

Joke aside, BK's commentary was oretty damm nice for someone who never really commentated before. The only real issues I found were the audio volume balancing and some dead moments between audio commentary periods. One is clearly Vegas's (not the city, Sony's program, silly) fault, because it's more random than a slot machine's luck, the other I don't really have a clue.

But be sure to not forget to balance the volumes next time, ok Mich? It's hard to appreciate the commentary when the V8s are this loud...

"...because it's more random than a slot machine's luck..." truer words have never been spoken.

I was so mad at the program that when I started uploading the only version in my mind of the video was the correct one (the audio balanced one, 1st fail)... Eh, I'll get it right at the next round.

Also, next races is at Zen Joltis. Think Indianapolis with double the size and on steroids. Advise y'all AIs to try and not crash, since yellow flags periods will be huge. :D

You can always make that the series' slogan if you like... It's fitting, if anything. :sly:

Also, there's no fear of using fictional tracks here, eh? That Zen thingy looks massive as all frick, not to mention very circle-like... Can't for about 10 to 15 minutes of caution periods.

We only have two real life superspeedways, so that explains pretty much everything.

I know this is going to sound strange coming from me, but if my B-Spec career in general was even half as successful as I've been in this so far..

..maybe I just need to sign with Swift Autosport permanently?

I'm sure we could make that happen somehow.

Got a little excited on the second spoiler... Sorry about that.

The other is easy. I did it in all in one take and my pea-brain had lapses in thought and had to force the mental gears every so often. I tend to leave gaps in my speaking habits in a regular daily conversation, so a solo commentary out of me at this moment in time may be riddled with "brain-dead-air" as I'll call it.

You could also chalk it up to idiocy. It's open season on reasons. What surprises me is that no one else has said anything about the commentary, so I guess it isn't too offensive. I WOULD like to hear some other's takes on it, and be brutally honest with it please.

...FFS. That is all.

First of all, Glover, please don't talk like you want each and every single thing you do thrashed by comments. Constantly trying to knock yourself isn't the way to improve what you do. It also makes me feel like my own comment means nothing to you because of the "WOULD" thing. To be honest, not many here spoke about my commentary on their own free will; I had to show some videos to others to know if I was doing things right...

In short, that commentary was nice. Not perfect, but nice. Your style is obviously live commentary, unlike my own, so you need to practice your thought process and find ways to reduce the amount of dead moments. Remembering the entire grid of cars is hard work, I can attest to that, but it's doable...

I'm sorry. I did not mean to degrade what you said at all.

I don't know most GTPlaneteers by voice, but it is great to hear the fellow who covered Race 13 of this series again. Pretty cool race on an interesting course. I almost wanted to imagine that course was a NR2003 version of Gran Turismo's Test Course. I know this course is based on Indianapolis, but that was quite cool.

Well done on commentary Niku. Calm, composed, straightforward.

On the race, WTF happened behind Doodle? Does the game actually have the capacity to simulate oil on track? All's well, all's well, all's OH CRAP!

Also, how did I avoid it?

Good race, everyone.

I was as surprised as you are.

I don't know how I avoided it!

ffs how often do i need to tell you not to try and repeatedly fail at the boomerang attack when there are cameras pointed at you

Back to the drawing board..

Thanks, good to know I didn't lose that big of a step since the last time I recorded commentary for this. Which, if my file history in my laptop isn't mistaken, was a full year ago (Pepsi 400 race)! So in a way, it's the 1st anniversary of my hiatus, haha.

I don't think NR2003 is advanced to the point where it can simulate oil spills onto the track. Not that advanced, anyway.

As for the crash, at first I thought someone had made contact with morten, but that's clearly not the case as the pictures he shared prove. Therefore, I guess he tried to use that pedal people call the "brake pedal", upset the car balance and went for his best Yuri on Ice impression. The rest is history...
But hey @rallymorten, you should be proud. As far as Yuri on Ice impressions go, you and Parilla got a bit fat ten outta ten. You may want to practice your X attacks, though...

How did you miss it? Probably the perks of being at the tail of a multi-car group... After all, you were right in front of someone who got involved in the crash.

WE DID IT BOYS WE'RE BACK IN CONTENTION YEE HAW

honestly though how the hell did I avoid that mega wreck holy moley

@BKGlover I loved the commentary, it was really lively and entertaining to listen to. Had me laughing with your reaction sounds and all that stuff. Job well done. 👍 :D

Well there is certainly no issue not hearing the commentary now, good lord. Playing the video at full volume made jump a little when Glover's 'Murica kicked in...

That aside, I do say the lesson's been learned about audio balancing. And Glover has one hell of a powerful headset (or whatever the heck he uses to record audio)! My race? Ha, that's funnier than Glover being overly excited and messing up his commentary;
Crash me once, shame on me. Crash me twice, then shame on me twice! Any more than that gets confusing!
