every time I join a open drift lobby looking for some fun i always see 1000hp super cars like Ferrari and mclaren dat really doesnt need any tuning to drift then they call me a noob for using a normal car.

i really want to see old school drifters than the guys who use Lambos to drift cuz its easier for them

how many people dont like those kinds of cars and likes tuners and muscle cars to drift??

This is a reason why i dont do many public lobbies , it always seems to be cars over 600bhp who race each other to every corner only to crash. I link tracks at low speed in say an s13 then get smashed into by two idiots racing to drift 1 corner badly, it annoys me so much :(

If you can keep up with them in a normal car that you have spent time and energy on. Then your not a nub. Do the best thing, Drift a truck .

i agree with ps3dan. i never join public lobbies because you'll never meet people who take drifting serious. i join the lobbys where people from my team and the forum are in because i know i can have fun there

The lobby I host on nearly a daily basis has a restriction of 650hp and comfort medium tires. These restrictions in my opinion provide a level playing field for the people I usually drift with, while remaining forgiving enough to use slightly grippier tires or a bit more power than my friends and I usually use. Feel free to stop by, Im literally just opening a room as I type this.

Yea lately I've been seeing more lobbies that limit the hp to around 650 and comfort hard tires only.

I saw a room that was kicking out every single 4wd drift car:)

Lets face It 4wd+ comfort softs/sports hards + mid engined= Disaster:nervous:

I kick AWD cars because it clearly says "RWD Only" in my lobby title.

I don't think I've been in a public lobby since last year. The people in those cars aren't actually drifting, their just people in over powered cars on sports hard tyres, getting a hard on when they can actually hold a drift. Then saying hello to mr gravel. Stick to rooms that you know or any lobby on here.

It sickens me to see nothing but Skylines, RX7's, and other typical cars. Hour after hour people race these same cars. Everyone using different colors and silly wheels trying to be different. So dull.
I have never been impressed or excited to see the same drift cars over and over.

The Alpine A310 1600VE is awesome for drifting. If you see it in the UDC, grab it, its thrilling.

Isuzu Bellett 1600 fully tuned looks great and drifts beautifully.

I like drifting my Rotax around RX7s. Mazda 110S

The Delorean is also awesome drifting. As is the Ram pickup, the Range Rover and so many other cars.
I get such a hoot out of taking and tuning old cars, cars I havent seen others drift before, and tossing it sideways around the track.

Yes especially those using the Nomuken or the Amemiya and they think their drift gods, when actually they require little tuning at all-_-

I don´t say that everyone who was / is using "that" glitch is fataly a dummie drifters, but i believe that most dummie drifters with topnotch tunned cars are victim of their own greediness, because they just cant work carefully and prepare a car for drift and train hard on it... so they just jump to another car...

Shame after shame, disappointment after disappointment... they will not elevate their quality and will blame on the car, on the physics, on the tyre type and so on...

anybody know is the skyline c110 is on gt5? i think i saw it on used dealership but i didnt buy before it disappeared.

I only race to corners to beat the noobs trying to tandem drift with me. It's my pet peeve to have these guys crash me trying to tandem and they haven't even mastered solo drift. I've adopted blowing my horn after a Good Drift and to let the guy in front know I'm behind him.

I know this is not the place for tunning depot, but i confess im having hard times trying to make a natural aspirated AE86 trueno. Even with 250+hp and, the power deliver to the wheels is much more direct than any turbo... so besides i have to deal with the right settings of springs, suspension, anti-roll, camber and lsd, im trying to scale the gear ratio 1 by 1 to make it in a fair handcap with other average drift cars and able to sustain long slides.

Thats one of the best part of the game: Work like a geek into that interesting car until it shows what it realy can. People with loads of money dont have this disposition, because they are always worried to buy and collect.

Ok, maybe my thought is being too partialist, but the standard behavior of an starter drifter with loads of money is:
1 Hes rich
2 He wants first all the most expensive cars in the game.
3 He wants chrome paint for all his cars.
4 He abominate those cheap old squared japanese cars from 80 and any other car that doesn´t transmit how rich he is.
5 He will bring his Pagani Zonda to Tsukuba and Spin Out several times or bring a GT-R and tackle everyone. Because for him speed and overtakes are what matters, and if hes overtaking those drifters with weird cars, means he is better than all.

So thats another reason for me defend CH as the right choice. If you want to bring a Shotgun to a knife party, learn how to deal with it first, at least.

And:

Yes there is... and also there are more "muscle" japanese cars from 70s in the game. Dont let them scape next time!

There is no reason to need 1000 hp to drift. Yeah it makes more tire smoke and what have you but I think it is harder to control. I tried drifting with my Zr1 that had around 850hp and it was hard as hell but then again it could have been the car since it wasn't really set up that great.

I can never find any public rooms that dont have idiots in it who dont know what they are doing and slam into when you about to connect every corner! But ya i agree im more into the moderate tuned cars. I own a FC with about 400. Which is just good enough to keep it sideways at a decent speed yet to to hard to control. I need to find more people who want to drift with 240s and stuff around the same PP as me.

I drift a s13 with comfort soft ...

Im decent at drifting. Im trying to practice on tandem but def need to get better at it. like i said above i use a 400hp FC so if anyone wants to drift sometime just add me im always looking for people who like to drift as much as i do.

Next time I am on and drifting I will add you. I have a s15 with i think a little over 400hp that i would like to try and learn to tandem with. It's hard with the Camaro.

I'm drifting AE Hachi Roku(86 in Japanese) or AE86 SS version. People call me a wanna-be because the name "Takumi" in the user name and I use a AE86 but I use different cars to drift and I drift 4WD cars sometimes(mostly the Lan-Evo 3). Just because I like Initial D doesn't mean I act like a real "Takumi" even though I do the braking drifts like he does and I do know his specs on his AE86
