I'm drifting AE Hachi Roku(86 in Japanese) or AE86 SS version. People call me a wanna-be because the name "Takumi" in the user name and I use a AE86 but I use different cars to drift and I drift 4WD cars sometimes(mostly the Lan-Evo 3). Just because I like Initial D doesn't mean I act like a real "Takumi" even though I do the braking drifts like he does and I do know his specs on his AE86

ill tandem with you sometimes

Ok, maybe my thought is being too partialist, but the standard behavior of an starter drifter with loads of money is:
1 Hes rich
2 He wants first all the most expensive cars in the game.
3 He wants chrome paint for all his cars.
4 He abominate those cheap old squared japanese cars from 80 and any other car that doesn´t transmit how rich he is.
5 He will bring his Pagani Zonda to Tsukuba and Spin Out several times or bring a GT-R and tackle everyone. Because for him speed and overtakes are what matters, and if hes overtaking those drifters with weird cars, means he is better than all.

↑My thoughts exactly on the majority I've seen joining the GT5 online lobbies I'm in↑

But I would change the GT-R to a Murcielago or R8, I've seen rammers using them frequently. Not generalising though, I'm sure there are skilled people with brains driving between the greenery most of the time with the cars I mentioned.

ya they just put comfort tires and lower suspension and ta-da drift car lol

You're wrong. It's harder to get a Ferarri to slide well then an S14, S15, 350Z, what ever... Not that i prefer that kind of people lol. I love the three cars i normally use... (IS F, 350Z, and S14)

I can never find any public rooms that dont have idiots in it who dont know what they are doing and slam into when you about to connect every corner! But ya i agree im more into the moderate tuned cars. I own a FC with about 400. Which is just good enough to keep it sideways at a decent speed yet to to hard to control. I need to find more people who want to drift with 240s and stuff around the same PP as me.

Hey! i run a FC too! add me

all old muscle cars are really rewarding to drift with!

ya i drift with a camaro z28 pretty fun lol

Maybe I'll have to try it out cause I use to do it when I lived in colorado

My new favourite drift car is the elise 111R Rm. I tuned it to the (grip) tuning guide on this fourm and loved it. The exact same setup with comfort hards = an amazing drift car, i wasn't expecting this :)

I actually think its hard to get the high horsepower cars to drift well. Ferraris an the like are all nimble an very snappy. The hardest cars for me to get to drift well were my m5 (600hp), lfa (500hp), an the mclaren MP o.0 still a work in progress lol. I feel lower powered cars are definitely easier...why else is someone learning to drift always told to get s13s an whatnot?

One word - Practice, u obviously dont feel the car or tune good enough, m5 is really easy to slide and drifting some nimble ferraris? I've tried it on top gear track, kinda easy.

Just practice alot every day and u will feel the snapback and the characteristics on every car.

Atleast i do :D

No, I can drift the cars just fine. But theirs a difference between a well tuned drift car and a poorly tuned stock feeling one. Its hard to explain but im sure in time as you get better you'll see the light Lol :)

Lol i know what u do mean, but my point is that everythings driftable, it doesen't mean that u have to have huge angle and perfect manouverability for it then.

I personally find that my srt10 viper is easy to control while drifting and it has almost 1000hp

every time I join a open drift lobby looking for some fun i always see 1000hp super cars like Ferrari and mclaren dat really doesnt need any tuning to drift then they call me a noob for using a normal car.

i really want to see old school drifters than the guys who use Lambos to drift cuz its easier for them

how many people dont like those kinds of cars and likes tuners and muscle cars to drift??

Lol, none of those got 1000 hp. The only RWD road car over 1000 HP is ( probably ) the Viper.

But I get your point. Just leave the lobby lol. Making endless a discussion with noobs is pointless. I'd prefer to dori alone then being in a lobby with someone with a overpowered ferrari/lambo/mclaren etcetera. And really Lambo is worst because its 4WD. Always put restrictions in your lobby. Tires, AI and a HP limit if neccesary.
