ok wat type of tires do you guys use? I only use normal tires that come with the car now......but just wondering what other people use. combination? super soft up front and sim in rear?

Depended on the car, although I rarely used sims or standard road tyres.

Sport tyres with mildly tuned machines, when I want a sporty car not a supercar. All slicks with supercars, supersoft tyres for short races, hards for endurance.
When trying to powerdrift, lots of grip in front, normals back, even simulation back. When I want a bit oversteering RWD... well, actually it depends on the car tooXD and the driving I want.

Yeah, it does depend on the car and how you want to drive it. Supersofts are nice on the shorter races, I've usually gone with mediums on enduros. One thing I did find useful with 'twitchy' cars - i.e. Stratos, Elise, Europa, some NSX is to go with soft or medium slicks, even on the short sprints. Although they do take longer to warm up, the softer more consistent limit on these tires makes a world of difference. I prefer to also adjust the suspension first for grip and balance first with sports or hard slicks, then start moving to something sticker, with the same tires fore and aft. Honestly, I rarely if ever use sims, and sports tires are the first upgrade (along with a flywheel) on even cars I just use for the various manufacturer's races.

I never use sims, I've tried but they get on my nerves too much.

I used to use slick tires a lot in the beginning if I could afford them, but lately, I've been using normal tires a lot for B-license and free races, just to help make sure I don't have too much of an advantage over the competition. I'll either use sports or street suspension parts, too. This goes for the Trail Mountain Enduro, too.

I'll use sport tires with sports or semi-racing suspension for A-license and some other more advanced races like I-C or I-B events, the Seattle Enduro, the Apricot Hill enduro, etc.

I'll only use slicks rarely nowadays...pretty much only for heavy cars or for full-race series like the World Cup, GT300 and 500, Tuned Turbo races, Rome Enduro, SSr5 enduro, etc.

None of this is set in stone, though. Mostly, I try and make sure I dont have an advantage over the AI or my GT2 obsessed roomate!

i drift now so sometimes i either get sport or sims(mostly sport), but all my other grip racing cars i use super soft. if you have the money, why not?
