Public Service Announcement from your old buddy Ole.....

The new cars are sick....
The GTE is amazing at brands hatch straight out the box....
Give her a run there before you try it anywhere else for your first "test run"....
Off to try the others.... A worthy $5.49 for just the GTE

The force feedback seems to be even good out the box.... Usually I have to wait for my Jack Spade updates to give me the FFB I like - this is not only a fine drive but FFB seems better out the box!!

Enjoy

~Ole

Looks like I'm going to have to get some GT6 action in soon if this is to be believed. Don't judge me!:P
Thats nice but they should have had it a yr ago one would think? This also means if they are working on this that gt7 is further away than we think:confused:. Either way its a very cool feature, but since i tore my ps3 out and its my netflix b. I. Tch now i will not get to enjoy this. Hope it works for you guys!!

Hhah, I totally agree. I'm a sucker for making and customizing things given the chance. They have to have been developing content simultaneously, pretty certain all VGT cars have and will be developed with GT7 in mind for instance. But getting this out is good because its the last promised feature not scrapped and basically means 100% GT7 focus.

AND IF YOU GUYS DIDN'T ALREADY KNOW....

PS4 Firmware 3.0 come out tomorrow. Set aside a chunk of time for the install.

This is my review on new dlc and free dlc's. Track is great(badass!) but we cant run practice or qualify sessions???????? Just another downer for the pcars sms crew! The old merc is fun but the old Aston is crap? Other aston cars are good!!

Darn tootin! And also the new Community feature. Can't wait to be part of the Tjger Enduro Community. ;)

Ha ha, ha,
with the massive list of triple AAA titles coming this holiday season and next year.
It will be harder to find dedicated racers.
Adding a Community feature may not be in anyone's interest.

ADDED: So to ensure everyone understands.
This Friday will be divided between Tom Clancy Rainbow Six, Madden 2016, Start Wars LEGO Edition(pre-prep for Battle Front), Grand Thief Auto VI, Destiny, Destiny the Taken King, Drive Club, Elder Scrolls, Uncharted 4, Last of Us, Tomb Raider, Formula 1 2015, Call of Duty III, and Little Big Planet 3.

There is nothing forecasted, planned or in discussion for Project Cars. At least until the end of this year and well into next year. Just like the real world of racing. The fall and winter seasons bring an end to racing. So drain the radiators and put the batteries on trickle charge.

Happy Holidays to everyone.

Ok boys I spoke with Tjger and got his approval to post this little plug on his thread(thanks Tjger!) with Tjger endurance on a little break I'm trying this one make club again, I didn't do well in gt6 when I tried but what the hell let's give it another go! Stop in and say hi or even give it a go with me? I will have some details posted soon , I just got thread up tonight so that is the start for now! Hope to see anyone that feels the need for some racing!https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/threads/ps4-one-make-racing-new-club.335309/

💡
I have an idea.....that just might work.
An idea to keep the present GT3 schedule as planned, but with a few slight modifications.
Modifications to work with everyone's busy holiday schedule and still have a competitive series.

For now just relax......

Sounds good, keep us posted!!

Good fun last night. Good racing, even better company. Maybe we need to give another try to the game chat next time we have over 8 racer. We need to figure something out if we are going to grow our club.

I agree.
We're so used to jumping in the PS4 chat room first.
I'll be out of town for today, but should make in time for any testing tomorrow night.

What do you think?
A quick 10 lapper then we switch back to mphile77's room.

They first appeared in Gran Turismo.

Thanks Br1mann for your comment regards private chat room. Its boring for racers. Why joining a race club, when there are no voice connection between each other. Its like racing a car around a race track with out engine sound. Hope Tjger and the rest of you guys will find a solution to the problem. Thanks Termi.

Race chat blows?
We may have to try it again to see how hard it blows.

The only reason the Project Cars' chat system is not great is because the amount of bandwidth required to support it. We can talk clearly, but drive terribly or drive clearly and talk terribly. What a sentence?

Here's some solutions and problems we may face both now and in the future.

1) Everyone pay up more for internet speed. We as a group are fortunate enough to have drivers from around the world.
Some of those drivers log on during peak internet activity in their country. Should we demand everyone 'speed up' their service to support a better chat system? That's something for you guys to decide. Most of time we use chat before a race starts and to avoid a mishap(s) on the circuit or warn other drivers. You guys know. I'm too busy listening to the BOSS. My mouth is shut........during endurance races.

2) Split the group into a domestic and foreign chapter. I know it can be rough on the guys oversea who have to stay up late for us in North America. That would reduce the amount of drivers/radio chatter during a race.

Gran Turismo 7. Yes Gran Turismo 7 is coming. I don't know what the chat system will be like in GT7 or if we'll see more drivers on the grid. There is talk(serious talk) that GT7 will take advantage of Project Morpheus. A virtual headset. If we all get one($240 roughly), there will be no need to talk to each other during the race. We'll learn to respect each other without the need to talk to each other.

Sony's VR headset:

3) Limit our families internet access during races. That's a tough one that I have no answer to. :indiff:

4) Divide up the chat room. Two rooms with eight drivers each or pre-select chat room participates. :ill:

5) Limit the amount of drivers to eight. Fill the remaining slots with AI.

The more bandwidth spend on chatting the greater the chance of lagging.

For now it is what it is. As far as the current PS4 chat room. First come first serve. You guys decide how you want to handle this.

I'm sure I'm missing something, but .......

Now for those that read the Gran Turismo 7 portion in the above post and are looking at Gran Turismo 7 I believe 2017.
Here's the financial commitment. Start saving now.

PS4: $350.00+
Driving wheel: $200-600.00+
Wheel add-on: $0-$125.00+
External shifter: 0$-125.00+
Internet service: $75.00+
Monitor or Virtual headset: $300.00+
3D Monitor: ?????
Quality HDMI cable: $50.00+
Cat6 internet cable: $20.00+
Quality headset: 50.00+
PS Plus subscription: $50 X 4 years=$200+. Yeah you have to have a PS plus subscription to play PS4 games.
Gran Turismo 7 + DLC content $120.00+++
Basic homebuild driving rig: $25.00+++

Start planning/saving now.

"If you want to play, you got to pay."

Ok, so right now the planned() agenda for this week is.....
--Tomorrow night, mphile77's One Make races.
--Wednesday night, I'll host a room for the Friday night GT1 race/Driver's night out. Again testing the game's chat system. See if it's worth it.
--Thursday we'll all log on and download the Star Wars beta for the PS4. I'll be logging-on to Gran Turismo 6 and racing with some guys I haven't heard from in months.
--Friday night we'll .......???
--Saturday, Sunday, Monday getting ready for the GT3 series to start or prepping for my trip to Austin for the Formula One race. Probably sitting behind the desk reading emails and watching the gtplanet forums. Yeee, Haaa. :irked:
