Do you want to use NOS in a future race

  • Yes : I want to have NOS accepted at least once just to see how it feels

    Votes: 13 33.3%
  • No : driving skill is the only that matters, using NOS will spoil the race

What would be the point of having a WRS admin sitting in his ivory tower and posting races that people don't like ?
The WRS has been so successful over the past 2.5 years because boombexus, Kent and CFM were taking into account racers' suggestions.

Posting polls is only a faster way to know what kind of races people expect to run.
It's a normal situation that a majority answers 'No' to these polls, because they are made to have an idea of the proportion.
It'd be useless to ask "Do you want to use race cars ?", since a large majority would answer 'Yes'.
But knowing how many racers don't want NOS, is useful. At 95%, there's no chance that I post a NOS race ; at 50% it is definitely worth posting one.

I don't have a fixed date for it, but it should be in December. :sly:

Thanks for the congrats and support anyway. They were highly appreciated. :)

flat-out

dont get me wrong CarbonFibre Man, Gokents and Boombexus did a wonderful job and they too ran many many suggestions 👍, i meant to say, how its wonderful you are doing that and also adding a new apsect with these wonderful polls you are creating 👍.

Its great to know the Beloved WRS has fallen into the right hands, someone who from my point of veiw is putting in a lot of effort 👍

About 5 hours a day since October 28th.
But I'm busy typing in all car information (weight, torque, power, length, height, width, country, engine, dispacement) in an Excel spreadsheet so that I can easily test multiple cars races.
And I'm testing a lot of combos to have a few races ready to be posted.

I've been thinking at something and I need to give you an extra hint about the NOS race I'm planning.
It will be run in GT Mode, in the Extreme Events.

As I remember, you need to have completed 50% of the game to be able to enter these Extreme Events.
So for those who didn't reach 50% yet, I'll give you some time to do so :

NOS Race will be run in week 36 !

...and you'll need less than 200,000 Cr to buy and tune the car.

*Cough* Like the Wind *Cough*

If it is that....I'm probably completely wrong....That's a pretty long race from memory. NOS will not last 5 laps.

Sadly I'll be sitting out this week then, in all liklihood ... I'm only at 38% and haven't had the time to even run the GT Championship 👎

3 weeks is more than enough for B-spec Bob to race the missing 12%.

Or you can load an übersave on your second memcard ;)

Have you STILL not stuck your hand in your pocket for a second card girl? :grumpy:

Good God!

I'll bleeding well buy one for ya and post the bugger....................finger out! :)
(no sexist/sexual meaning intended there guys, before you start)

I know, I know!!! Funny thing is, only 2 years ago I was a spending FOOL ... this is me trying to me nice to my purse! :P

*PLUS* I race so much, that I really don't get time to advance my game, so one reason for not getting the card is I like to use the WRS (and other series) as the opportunity to slowly eek things forward a little. Like using NOS week as the incentive to grab another 18% or something.

I don't really want to use Bspec driving - I did that too much in the beginning, only really like to do it for quick cash, and really wanted to win the GT Series under my own steam.

I'll try and stay up *really* late one night or something.

Shame this particular week didn't fall on my England trip, then it wouldn't matter!!!

heh, but how much did the purse cost.

just effing with you... :P
i'm still on one card as well, i'm always deterred by the cost... and don't want to get some cheapy creepy knock-off.

i bought a max drive card. 16mb worth. Had no issues at all.

In fact the only issue i had was GT4 couldnt "create" a save on it, it was timing out. so i used my old 8mb card then used maxdrive software to transfer it to the 16mb card. Once on the card ive had no trouble at all.

Great card 👍, plus i have backups of my good gamesaves on computer just in case 👍

Plus its much cheaper than the 8mb ones.

hmm... i'm just leery since i had bad expirences with non-sony memcards for the psx and i've heard similar problems with 3rd party stuff for the ps2.

this is Maxdrive Memcard not some cheap chinese or something :P.

Like i said if you just keep your stuff backed up on PC its all good 👍 Ive never had one fail on me yet and both dad and I have had one since march.

:dopey: An Extreme Hall Race  If i remember right 3/5 laps is the minimum laps for a race. And to get to use NoS is interesting since we don't know what type of "normal" car Flat Out has chosen for us.

Did I write somewhere that the car would be "normal"

...

:D

IMHO, I reckon that NOS was a silly idea in the first place, but people still use it, but i think its mainly used in drag races (correct me if me = wrong) anyhow, I wouldn't mind trying it FOR JUST ONE RACE! AND ONLY ONE RACE, just to see..............
