You can't mechanically fail in GT5. Its you rage quitting. Not first time you've done it.

You have to complete 2/3rds of the race to be classified for points, Furi did mention it several times inbetween his DC's

Just ran out of steam (grip/talent) at the end . Was such a good race though agreed think its the most difficult ive ever done ability wise, 100% wet and being chased down by you

I had understeer in slow turns. Struggled to get around sector 2 doing 40mph in 6th gear.

I had understeer when I didn't want it and oversteer when I didn't need it so overall I had a rubbish car with no grip.
