As I said earlier in this post, there is some good newer music out there. Go away from mainstream and do some digging, it's out there. It may not be 100% to your "older genre liking", but there really is some talent out there.

We are all entitled to our likings in the music industry, whether it be old or new. So let's just get over the personal opinions of what is good and what sucks ..... as to the old adage "to each his own". We are not going to change one another's opinions in here by barking or debating at each other over what is and what is not.

It's getting very annoying. As I said again and again in this thread, I gave an opinion, you guys know which I prefer, so move on.

Then just leave the thread, or move on as you also said? It takes two to tango and clearly you still want to dance.

Even highly produced pop music from today had merits, and Lady Gaga actually has a very good voice, and I sound I much prefer to the Beach Boys.

But I got what I wanted from you, which was for you to admit there is good music being produced today and crap from the past.

I stated an opinion, that I prefer the old stuff. Wasn't looking for a multi-page debate which you guys turned it into.

Go back and re-read my posts and you will find I never said that ALL old stuff was great and ALL new stuff was crap. My opinions were directed at "pop" music both new and old. I explained that in a prior post.

I wasn't looking for a debate, just gave an opinion. But if someone misconstrues my opinion and tries to argue it I will reply, like I did.

Yes it is your opinion and should other have a different opinion they are free to enter into discussion and that doesn't warrant this kind of attitude.

If you want to be able to state your opinion without giving others the ability to reply then start a blog and turn off the comments. Here if someone disagrees with you they are free to reply.
