"Todays Special" wheel database (American and PAL) PICS ---finished!! 29 Day cycle.

Well,
First things first, questions...
The wheels you want... Go to "Dunlop" and choose the very last wheel on the selection row. They are all black with a little red in the center, perfect for what you want. 👍

Of course, you could luck out like I did. ;)
Take a swing by the "today's specials."
By chance I found a black wheel with 5 spokes labeled as "NI___"
I bought it and compared it with the Z-tune Fairlady...
Sure enough, they were the same wheels.
So I got a set of Z tune wheels for my car. ;)

Speaking of my car...
I took a different approach. :sly:
Still managed a respectable "Z-tune" R34.

Here's what I did.
First I measured the PWR of the real Z.
1560kg and 500hp = 3.12 pwr
My final product is a little lower... 3.007. :mischievous:

However, I like how it turned out.
Nissan Skyline GT-R V-spec II Nur (R34) '02
Sports Exhaust
Racing Brakes
Racing Computer Chip
Increased Displacement
Single Plate Clutch
Sports Flywheel
Carbon Driveshaft
Turbo Stage 1
Sports Intercooler
Stage 2 Weight Reduction
Racing Medium Tires (R3)
435hp - 437 ft.lb torque - 1326kg - 3.007 pwr

Give it a try if you can.
Trust me, I have a feeling you will really enjoy it.
The sound is probably way nicer considering how well the parts fit together.

Anyway, give it a try and tell me what you think. ;)

I believe the black NISMO Rims pop up every now and then in the Daily Specials in the wheels section, 2 times every week or so.. those are the exact wheels that go on the Z-Tune...

I made mine using a bayside blue M-Spec Nur since i was following the specs of the Z-1 (600hp) but the V-Spec II Nur would be perfect for the Z-2 (500hp)

I've got two turbos that give me both Z-1 and Z-2 power...

If you want the full lowdown on the car read this:http://blog.gtroc.com/dino/2005/04/nismo_skyline_g.html

Someone should have put this in the Game as well:http://blog.gtroc.com/dino/2005/06/matchless_crowd.html

Yeah I have seen them in used wheels a few times, both my Skyline GTR N1 (R33) and my Skyline GTR V-specII NUR have them equiped.

Rays makes those wheels special for Nismo. They are Nismo rims, and can only be found from the specials list.

That's funny. After seeing Matchless Crowd Racing's GT-R in Hot Version's Touge Showdown Max Class, I decided to build my own.

It was hard, because you can't buy a new R34 in red. I had to wait for one to show up in the used car lot. I bought the first plain red GT-R that came along, and did all the mods to it...then a red V-Spec showed up on the next cycle. :ouch: I bought that one too, and now the V-Spec is my replica.

When I first saw MCR's car on Hot Version, it had some gold wheels I wasn't too fond of. Now it has black multispoke wheels, so I got the Bentley Speed 8 wheels from the used section. It looks nice and intimidating, especially with a bi-level GT wing like the real car.

The real car had 600hp, and an additional 50hp from scramble boost. So I got my car as close to 600hp as possible(595hp), and added a 55hp shot of nitrous to simulate the 650hp scramble boost.

The real MCR GT-R was also a hefty 1560kg, and so I just kept my R34 at stock weight. That doesn't slow it down much at all. Even on Sport Soft tires, it's ridiculously fast.

I have a bunch of other Touge Showdown cars too.

ok the ratios are
Auto: 19
1:3.827
2:2.360
3:1.685
4:1.312
5:1.000
6:0.793
F:3.545

some other stuff I did was 1.5 way LSD, twin plate clutch, and carbon driveshaft those were also listed in th specs.

has anyone else noticed that the used rims are given a code, which identifies which manufacturer the wheels have come from? (or has this been discussed before?)

BMW rims would be called something like BM00#
Mercedes - MB00#, Toyota - TO00#, Nissan - NI00#,
Honda - HO00#, Volkswagen - VW00# etc....

I like to try and pick some manufacturer rims for my rides, if I am going to change them...

yea I buy them as well...Those M5 & M3 wheels are

I wish they would have left the GT3 feature where you can keep the wheels in your garage and change them to any of your cars after you bought them. that was cool :dopey:

I have Mitsubishi I Concept wheels on my Pagani Zonda, because they were so wacky-looking.
I have Cragar wheels on my Chrysler 300C.
My Crossfire has these garish bright gold bling-bling wire wheels that, if I was in anything but a Crossfire, I would stay away from.

I usually buy used rims, most of the time for the same car manufacturer the car is made from. Example: Mercedes SLR McLaren rims on a Mercedes R129 SL600.

I usually will stick to the same manufacturer...but there are a select few that I dont care what the centercap says...M3/M5 wheels, GNX to name a few, but most of the time I try to find one thats "neutral" with no logos...I usually dont take " photo travel" pics...so 99% of the time you wont see the centercap logo.

I love this feature as well. I pretty much always keep rims to their original manufacturer. Like, toyota rims for my toyotas, mazda rims for my mazdas, etc..

Like, I'll put some of the FD's black mesh rims on my older RX7's, even my miatas.
I'll put the black spoon sports rims on my regular Integra and Civic Type - R's. Those look really good on NSX's too.

streetsucka204
funny how you can put rims with 4 and 5 bolt patterns on the same car

That makes it a pain to buy rims. I always try to keep the centerbore and bolt pattern of the rims consistent with the originals... it would suck to have five tiny little lugs showing when the rim is pasted onto a 13" 4 lug original.

I sometimes mix and match, but my favorite find is BBS Racing mags with BMW centercaps :D :D :D on my BMW M5. :D :D :D

Does anyone have a list of what used rims are from each car? I know MB001 is Mercedes and etc but is there a list which gives specifics?

I few months ago I stumbled on a site that had pictures of all the rims but have lost the link.. Has anyone seen this site??

Also, (sticks neck out) what's the cycle on the used rims section? Changes once a week?

sry guys, oz wheels all the way, or bbs for my beemer:)

Agree with the comment about the BBS for the Beemer, the black ones with the shiney outer part, yes? 👍

Quick Question (hope someone's not already answered). To get used rims from certain cars do you have to change the Original Cars Wheels, then those appear in the Used bit?

Say for example I have the Gold Aston, if I want the gold rims from it on another car to I have to remove them from my Aston 1st & put different ones on?

the rims section changes every day, and since you change days every time you buy a car, or buy a new set of rims, or even make a drag race, you have to check the rims section all the time...

that sucks!! :yuck:

anyone knows where to find a list of which rims to find for each cycle?
