Toe in/out

Solve this .
Take a lancia stratos and put a race suspension on it.
Take it to the track . you will notice that it Oversteers to an incredible degree.
adjust the rear toe to + 04 in the rear ..what do you notice ?
Now adjust the toe to - 04 in the rear ... having fun yet ?
by doing this you will now have a good idea as to what the toe changes do.

ProtegeLX, you've got your terms awfully confused for someone who's acting so dang sure of himself.

There's no such thing as "postive toe out" and "negative toe out". POSITVE toe is toe IN. NEGATIVE toe is toe OUT. Period. Full stop. End of story. As soon as I fire up GT4 again I'll confirm this.

Yes Duke. You are absolutely correct.
I am taking automotive technology classes and I JUST learned about alightment a few weeks back and theres no such thing as toe in and out being different for front and rear tires.
Please protegel_x, I understand you want everyone to believe what you believe, but PLEASE get your facts straight before you brainwash people.
I have also asked all my other friends about toe-in and toe-out, and toe-in is positive and toe-out is negative.
*sigh... this is a sad topic.

In real life this is the case, NOT in GT4, as I said in the other thread.

In GT4 - Toe OUT is POSITIVE, Toe IN is NEGATIVE.
In REAL LIFE - Toe OUT is NEGATIVE, Toe IN is POSITIVE.

Just read in another thread they have different interpretations in Japan, so this info could be Japanese version only. Need someone to test the NTSC version....

As far as i know, Duke is 100% correct. Positive = IN, Negative = OUT. I've tested myself and noticed the differences.

Some people need to learn to use the search function, too. I've found 3 threads like this.

Damnit, I just tried with -4 and you can't tell the difference in photomode. You can definetly see the changes in camber, even at lower levels, but no change in -4 toe settings.

.

It has been established that real life figures, especially outside Japan, have nothing to do with GT4 in this regard.

In GT3 they DID have it correct for the North American/European convention as I and others have listed. I have not had a chance to look in GT4 how it is implemented.
