Tokyo motor show gt6 display report

Hello, just got back from the Tokyo motor show. Got to try the gran turismo 6 demo at the display . unfortunately Mr. Yamauchi was not there but I got some pretty awesome pics and videos from the demo. I'm using A stupid tablet right now and I don't have the video camera cord with me so I will upload the video and pics when I got back home (I'm in Japan if you didn't already get that)

So I waited in a line for over an hour to get 2 laps of tsukuba in the new jaguar. I spent the whole time trying to smash up a Mercedes cl600 '2000 (standard) in front of me.

I can say that the cl600 looks immaculate, Pd did an acceptional job of cleaning it up, it really looks amazing now! The jaggie window lines, wheel arches and panel gaps\lines have been improved immensely, there are next to no noticable pixelations in anything. I would of assumed it was a premium if I had not known for a fact that it's a standard.

Unfortunately the passenger and driver seats still have jaggie pixelated appearance, so we can pretty much rule out any sort of decent cockpit view for the standards. And the windows still had that dark tint to them.

Another thing they have improved on is the damage, the damage looks fantastic. There is no more morphed chassis and black scuff marks. I saw actual dents in the panels, paint scratches and broken glass windows. It looks brilliant, again pd have done an astonishing job with overhauling the damage. This combined with permanent damage, oh I can only imagine how awesome this is gonna be.

I'll get some pics uploaded when I get back home on the 29th.

Mods please fix up any grammar and spelling mistakes, I'm using a tablet and it doesn't have spell check (I rely on that more than I should)

There was too much background noise to make any judgements on the engines sounds so I'm not going to say anything about that.

I can confirm another song too. its another day / the death set.
I'll be going to the motor show again on monday, hopefully, being Monday, I won't have to wait an hour to get 2 minutes of gameplay. I'll do some more filming that day.

Did you get a picture of the broken windows on the cars?

This is particularly interesting as Kaz stated some time ago that damage was the same as GT 5... And some cars had it, many others didn't...

What you described is quite a bit more especially broken windows...

Was the damage on both the premium and "standards"?

Also I'm glad that Pd are working really hard to get standard cars to look really good as possible. My hype just went up some more after reading this thx for the info.
 
Hey when or if you record replay put the camera on a standard car if it allows you. So we can see what its like to actually drive one.If you're running short on time and someone is trying to kick you off, yell " this for gtplanet , YOLO!" and punch the rep ,spend those 3 mins before security shows up recording. I hear jail in japan is pretty decent...
Seriously though.Try to get good footage of the standards please and thanks!.

Surprisingly the jaguar I was in was not taking much damage that i could see.

There's no videocam cords in the pen.. (not even the Japanese ones).

Idk why everyone is so surprised about broken glass, it was in GT5 on the '08 Subaru...

Some of the vehicles in GT5 already featured damage functioning like getting the glass broken and the doors coming off when you hit the barrier from sidewards.

I'm to go to the exhibition next weekend or at the earliest on Friday afternoon - hope if I could find out the game section and preparatory demo being shown up there.
