Just thought I'd tell everybody about my extremely close Super Speedway endurance race in the Minolta Toyota 88C-V.
I started the race in A-Spec and built up a comfortable lead over the Sauber Mercedes (about 20 seconds). I then switched at the first pitstop to B-Spec on the medium pace. This lost me 15 seconds of my lead, so on the next stop I switched back to A-Spec. I continuously switched from A-Spec to B-Spec and vice versa at each stop.
My last stint was in A-Spec with myself, the Sauber Mercedes and the Peugeot 905 (due to it taking less pitstops) all in contention. I made up the needed 15 seconds on the leading Sauber Mercedes and pulled out a 10 second lead with 5 laps to go. However, I had completely thrashed my tires playing catch up and there was no way I was going to stop. The Sauber Mercedes and the Peugeot ate into my lead and were within 2.5 seconds behind me into the final turn. Thinking I was home and dry, I stormed into the final turn, hit the barrier and so nearly spun. The Sauber Mercedes came flying up the inside and it was a drag race to the line. I held him off and won my a car length. I was EXTREMELY relieved.

) and i was behind him again, the battle was on, i manged to overtake him coming on the back strech, we reached the chicane when i manged to brake too late letting the sauber through,now we ARE NECK AND NECK HEADING FOR THE FINISH LINE...we finish i have no idea who won.... the the stats pop up........I BEAT THE SAUBER BY .024 SECONDS YAAAAAAAAAY.
