I hope you didn't use soft racing tyres...
No, sport mediums.
I hope you didn't use soft racing tyres...
it's a shame we don't have the top gear fastest car in gt5, FerrariXX 1.10s!!
dont know why but the stock veyron has only 979 bhp.
upgraded it to 998 bhp, time: 1.13.7 lol
Wait, you guys arent tuning anything AT ALL right? I Mean these cars are completly stock as you buy them in the game with the tyres they come with and no changes in setup correct?
That time seems heaps quick. You did this on a stock veyron witth just some minor upgrade to get to 998hp? Still sport hard tyres, and NO changes whatsoever to any other parts or tuning?
Are you allowed to cut the track like crazy? Or do you run in some mode that doesnt allow you to cut. ALso is it in practie mode, Is the grip edge level set to Real or low? TCS ASM, ABS as close to the real car as possible, and most impotant skid recocery to off?
I think we need to start doing youtube replays of the setup and the lap otherwise people can just cheat? This thread seems way to easy going, none of these times can be valid without hard work, proof and specific details.
No need to accuse people. People are cheating because the game is cheating, sport tires in the game act like racing slicks in real life. PD knows this, in GT3 they had a unlock-able tire grade that most couldn't keep on the track.
If the tyre physics is too remote from reality we would get too quick lap times which I dont observe as of now mate!

Gallardo with SixAxis, comfort soft tires, 1:23.8
Are soft tires stock settings?
lexus LFA: 1.18.5
compared to a wet lap time of 1.22.8 thats not too far off...
I think wet adds about 4 seconds? so that would be a 1.22.5 then.
and yes all aids for the veyron were off except abs at 1. and default tires.
If I'm not mistaken the Bugatti has both ASM and ABS as standard in real life, try turning them on ASM (esp as it tends to slow the car) and see what times are.
Its difficult to compare any car in GT to real life as it's impossible to know which in game settings reflect real life performance.
0.37.207. Still plenty of time left in that. Its funny, I made more mistakes around the Top gear track in the X1 than I did around Nurburgring Nordschleife. I suppose that's width of the track + speed. We got better staff - Red Bull X1!!! Somebody post a lap time of this beast!

You have to do an oil change with each car you buy to get the factory quoted horsepower. New and Used!!! I bought a new C63 and noticed the horsepower was less than the official 457hp so I did the oil change and it went to 457hp. I also won a Veyron and did the same thing. I keep one model fully stock for comparison purposes (GT5 rules for stuff like this:tup:👍👍) and a second tuned model for winning the races.
So detune your Veyron and do an oil change then do the power lap.👍
trouble is detuning is not possible.....
stupid game!
This thread reminds me of the Top Gear when Clarkson drove a NSX round Laguna Seca on GT4 then did it in real life
That's exactly my idea too, but I guess the people doing this don't want reality or truth.
Fact is that if you set up a car in GT5 with the right tires.(using feel, not GT5's default which are wrong) Then tuned it so the cars handles somewhat similar to real life nobody could get anywhere near the Stig's times. That is because the games is catered to the over-grippy tires and the lap times reflect that.
As of now the lap times posted are pretty damn close to real life so I see no reason claiming OVERGRIP in gt5!
