Somebody send these times to Top Gear - Tell Clarkson how much he stinks at GT4

Just managed a 1'38.022... i was aiming for 1'38.000 but after 12 laps [having set that time about halfway into that stint] i was starting to get annoyed.....

better luck tomorrow maybe.....

clicky.....

ah nads!!!! just realised it should be done in Arcade Mode..... grrr.....

sweet! i'll be posting a time later on tonight. :) . this was harder than i thought it would be.

I don't mind trying this challenge, but what's the point of posting a picture? It's just as easy to mod the hell out of an NSX-R, pretend it's stock, and run a sub 1'10sec lap as it is to make up a time. People are generally going to be honest here.

not in arcade mode however, first post updated as well, nice times

Unfortunately it is possible. Its quite easy to up power by 10% and reduce weight by 10% in arcade mode, run your lap and then amend them back. The best time screen will still show your best run and the car specs will show whatever you amended them too.

This is why challenges that ask for screenshots should always be approached with caution, much better to post genuine replay files that can be independantly verified.

fair enough, to be honest, I only recently realised that the cars youve modified in Gran Turismo mode don't get the changes removed once in Arcade mode, so I just assumed it was like GT3

Hi fellas,

Did a few laps in arc-mode and ended up with:

23.833 // 46.400 // 1:09.632 // 1:33.707

... so far.

Still room for improvements (1/2 second.. or more)

Replay asap..!

Can you tell me how I can watch this replay file? Seriously.
Well, P.G.

Firstly, you gotta have the X-port V2 (Sharkport in the US) or the Max-drive devices.

Secondly, depending on which one you have you may need to convert the file into the proper file-format (xps, max... etc.), and for that you´ll need a small fileconversion-software, available at GTRacingPoint.

Thirdly, I believe you´ll have to convert a PAL-replay into a NTSC-replay.
Think there´s some software out there for that too, but I´m too sure about that though... or if it even works.

I´m afraid that´s all I know.
Maybe you could ask Mr.P for more info.... I believe he´s got it pretty much covered.

Laters 👍

Oh no way, I heard of too many people getting all their data corrupted from using max drive and such, I'm not risking it.
In that case, I could really recommend the X-port/Sharkport option - if available.
Maybe not as easy to use as the Maxdrive but I´ve never had any problems using it.
I´ve converted files back and forth many times with no hickups at all.
Too me a really usefull tool indeed.

I've looked into it and the sharkport really seems like a good choice, I probably wouldn't have found it if you didn't mention it, thanks :)

I only got just over 1:42:??? (can't remember exactly as I haven't got my PS2 on at the moment) and that took about 30+ laps, I'll have another go later.

It´s been a while since matherto updated the leaderboard.

Thanks for updating it and putting my time on there, seems funny seeing me in a poll with Jeremy Clarkson, my first time was 1'42:790 I did have another go at beating it and after about 15 laps or so I got 1'41:731.

After about another 30 minutes I got it down to 1'40:706 even though I like Jeremy I was determined to beat him but how anybody got it to 1'38:000 or quicker deserves total credit because that takes some doing.

I'll try to get my replay on Youtube.

Your time just got updated, Savoy1984 :sly:

Hang in there and you´ll pretty soon see some vast improvements 👍
