@Timo

Still, I was the first to cross the 1'15 barrier :P

And i'm NOT going to tell you how many laps I drove to get there, just that I'm not going to try to improve the time.
Too ****ing boring :)

And don't breath on the throttle, or it'll oversteer into a wall.
And 12 laps was only stint 1 :P
it's not even worth turning on the PS3 for such a small number of laps.

I'd like to have a crack at this. Lets see if I am still nipping at your heels Ron you quick bugga'!
EDIT: Well I've gone soft or I just started getting my greenhorns in cause I can't drive in pro mode at all it seems :S It's late and I'll try it again tomorrow (more than 5 laps :P) ~1:17.8xx :yuck:

Welcome to all the newcomers to TORC...
GTP_Concept
Beerz
DustDriver (at least the warmup)
audiobbc
Jump_Ace
Delfino - Gotta love those little Oz racing cars!
pl8ster
Kelly

Widar - It is good that the time trial replay are available for all of us to steal! Oh, I mean view...

spyrrari - No worries mate, even if you only compete in a few races, would still be good to have you join us.

8400RPM - I thought that all the issues with regions was gone with the PS3. I will look into it & let you know...

pl8ster - It sounds fine, the paved area exiting turn 1 is part of the track, as long as there was no wall contact & 2 wheels on the black stuff, your lap sounds good.

Crickey!! You boys sure are not holding back with those warmup times, 2 drivers in the 14's, is my foot on the brake?
Ran some more warmup laps today and managed a 1:16.436. I normally use the controler, but in a vain attempt to catch MrP's replay I tried my old wheel from the PS2, man those wheels are crap! Might have to look at getting a wheel for the PS3. Is it christmas yet? ;)

For a little more competition I am going to post some average board times. I have all you guys listed by what board you signed up on. What board is going to be the fastest?

I updated to a 1'14.937 last night then promptly beat it with a 1'14.816 and it had a close call on turn 1 and had to try and follow it for about 10 laps to get the best view on the close call :grumpy: the problem with GT5P is when you get a faster lap that may be a close call you automatically overwrite your old lap by going out and trying to view the new lap 👎

anyway I came to the conclusion that the 14.8 was a bit too close to call so I simply turned the power off on the PS3 to stop it updating to the board :ill:

my best lap is 1'14.937 anyway and I will get some more laps in later and I reckon a 14.7 will be on the cards :)

Just did a 1.15.308.

Edit: Will the races be AI race or TT? AI race will be way off for me... You can tune your car, not as much up to be a good driver but a good tuner as well, AI getting in the way, AI pushing you into walls and on.

I really hope these will be TT's, but looking from the rules saying 2 or 3 laps, and AI contact... I presume they won't. Tosk?

Anyone following my rant?

OMG what a difference they made in the last update. Another 20 min and I'm at a 1:15.499, I would have NEVER gotten that last night with the old 'crummy' version :) What do you guys think about taking that sweeping right after T2 a bit high, I did so by accident and kept the car around 94 or so. Will try again later.

Jerome

Widar - Your right, all the races are with AI, the idea of this series is to create a challenging race, not just TT laps.

Luxembourgia - The warmup event is time trial, but the races will be with AI

Some great times in the warmup event guys. I'm courious about who is using a wheel?

I figured it's about time I do my part to drag the average down. :D

Put me down for a 1'16.019. I know I'm leaving some time on the track but I can't get this car to cooperate through the esses :dunce:

Great to see a time fom you Suede. I know what you mean about car cooperation, I still can't better my 1:16.3** :(
Will have to have another go tonight.

OK, sign me up.

Not sure if I'll be able to run every round as I have a 2 week period back end of September where I'm going to be away on business, but I'll do my best.

Hi Famine, what do you mean old???

You in Famine?

I'd love to, but I've just moved house and everything is somewhat... misplaced currently. However, if I get things in their rightful places before you kick off, I'll give you a yodel.

So how 'bout it? Any of you guys willing to let Tosk and me in on the secret? I think I've watched all of the top 10 replays and all I can say is . I've raced against a couple of the ghosts and I can hang with 'em until the bloody esses :banghead: Are all of you guys using a wheel? Anybody doing this with a DS3/sixaxis? The few times I've felt reasonably quick through the esses, I'll be too slow with my entry into the second to last turn and kill my exit speed for the last two straights :irked:

I use the DFP 👍 I reckon it's a matter of knowing when you can apply the throttle in the turns earlier than you would normally ( brake earlier and roll for a bit then it's throttle on before you see the exit ) and try keeping stability at the same time which is not something that happens every lap ( gotta try to eradicate the tyre screech if possible ).. a good lap can be 1 in 10 just getting all the sections together ... but you can still be off at the line by the smallest millisecond and it's back to square one and just keep lapping until you hit your peak 👍

Not much more I can say mate! ... Good luck with it
