Race Day Notice
Hi all, hopefully we should be in for another cracker of a race.

• Qualifying will be 6 minutes (no safety car) and I will reset the weather just before we start so the lobby is fresh for everyone.
• Forecast for the race is dry to begin, rain is forecast to come in around mid race.
• Track limits are 2 wheels on the red/white curbs, the green paint / astro turf beyond the curbs is off limit.
• We will complete 1 formation lap before starting the race. We will pair up along the backstretch before 130r and then be nice and slow up to and through the Casio Triangle to minimise as much concertina effect as we can (I have found 3rd person view really useful for race starts). The leader can start the race at any point after the pit entry.
• Safety car procedure is active for this race. Safety car restarts will be in single file, the leader can restart the race once passed the pit entry.
• Reminder that you can only request a safety car if you have engine or suspension damage.
• Reminder that the pit lane will remain extremely wet once it rains, tc5 is advisable.

Sorry for the churn at the start. Just could not put it together on and off the track. My car rocketed on the 2nd restart's formation lap and not sure what I was doing wrong. Maybe next time?

There’s a glitch where your game sticks in the pre race camera and auto drive takes over and then it drops you back in control with no countdown. That’s why I restarted the first time. Maybe the glitched passed onto you for the restart.

Thanks for organizing the event, @Kermit_2142, I'm glad I could make it home in time and have a spot to race!
That was my first race with safety cars and I really like how it keeps us closer over the race.
I'm quite satisfied with my race, despite the abismal result (ran out of fuel at the start of the last lap, lol). I only made one driving mistake at T1 after my SC restart, but I had no other issues, or contacts with other drivers.
