TPC Racing Presents - Time Attack.

Got it down to a clean 1:52.2. Can get into the 51s but a 50 is out of my reach this week. I was getting to the point of switching my fingers around on L3 while steering so had to call it a night. Would love to adjust the gears and diff a bit more but will have to stick with what I have. On to the next week.

I don't get it! Feel like I'm doing nearly the same as you (minus that insane entry to spoon, what the hell man) yet I'm a mile off that pace. I don't seem to be able to brake at 100 for Casio and make the corner.

Looking at the replay the brake lights came on at about 140m from Casio, I think the key in this car is to try and be smooth, if you turn too sharp you're scrubbing speed with the front tyres sliding or losing speed sliding sideways. The setup Pigems posted is nice and stable.

I've been using that setup the entire time.

Thanks man! The on-board is uploading now, I just re watched it and I’m pretty sure it’s clean, but I’ll let you guys be the judges.

With the aid of @GOTMAXPOWER i.e spying on his lap, I adapted my braking point for spoon and started using fifth gear for the first couple of esses. I had to abort after a bad hairpin, but I was 4 tenths up on a 53.4 and I could smell that 52...

Then it all came together - beautiful T1, nailed Degner as usual, slightly scrubby hairpin and a BEAUTIFUL run through spoon. Internally I thought "take the chicane safe, don't scrub this lap", but I ended up nailing the chicane too, probably the quickest I've gone through there.

It's a bloody 1:52.08!

Late entry, just to mess up the bottom of your spreadsheet...

I'm not ever going to be a fast driver, so no competition for you folks, however thought I'd give it a go and see where I'm losing time.

1:57.511 losing "bits of time" on each section, but especially section 1 and 2 which doesn't surprise me as I've always struggled to get a good consistent line through the esses.

I'm actually pretty competitive in section 3 at 46.074 though, which is a pleasant surprise since that includes the hairpin.

(Personally I always treat 2 wheels on the track as a clean lap, anything else beyond that never seems right to me, but that's just my opinion on it).

Looking forward to seeing what gets picked for next week...

I’ll grab the suspension pic in a few min, forgot to send it to myself before logging off. I started with @praiano63 ’s suspension and my diff, but I ended up lowering it a bit more before I set that lap, that’s the only change I made to it.

Looking good. Might have to get onto that tonight. FIA races are 2 that I am hopeless with mid week this week so might spend more time on this.

EDIT: Took a few laps warm up before I sauntered into death valley at Fuji
Plugged in a 1:01.5 something, but have plenty more to get. Think I have a few ideas to tweak tune as well. Will have a solid run tomorrow and get a time.
