I spent some time recently looking at all the tracks available in simulation because I wanted to know how to set up suspension and how fast to gear my tranny, and I've found the conclusions helpful.

I used an NSX S Zero will all mods less R, 335hp 1130kg = 3.37kg/hp to look at top speeds achieved on the straights, listed in kph

The tracks are listed in order of most appearances in events

The big 8:

Laguna Seca: tune for acceleration in all gears, set suspension medium, low top speed (218, 210, 210, 195). Available from 246hp-max.

Roma Circuit: again tune for all gears and medium suspension, medium top speed (240, 230, 205). Available from clubman-max.

Trial Mountain: low speed acc more important, set gears more for 2nd+3rd gear acceleration, set suspension soft, medium top speed (238, 220). Available from 197hp-max.

Apricot Hill: set gears for 3-5 acceleration, suspension stiff, high top speed (254, 231, 198, 191). Available 493hp-max.

SSR5: mix of high speed and cornering, set gears more 2-4, medium-stiff suspension (253, 205, 198). Available 345hp-max.

Midfield: high speed, medium-stiff suspension, gears 2-5 (253, 239, 195). Available 197-max.

Seattle Circuit: set more for 2-4 acceleration, soft suspension, medium top speed (232, 230, 197). Available 394hp-max.

Deep Forest: mostly speed, go for 3-5 acceleration, bouncy so use moderate suspension settings, fairly high speed (250, 226, 216). Available 216-493.

The uncommon 11:

Grand Valley: balanced course, acceleration in all gears just as important, medium-stiff suspension, high speed (254, 222, 208). Available 493hp-690hp.

Tahiti: 3-5 acceleration more important, stiff suspension, medium top speed (240, 226, 200). Available Sunday-394hp.

Red rock: 3-5 acceleration, special suspension tuning for banked sweeping turns with MR, otherwise medium-stiff susp., high speed (253, 234, 226, 207). Available Sunday-max.

Super Speedway: 4-5 acceleration, soft suspension, super high speed (271, 256 with reset tranny). Available 394hp-max.

Rome Short: 3-5 acceleration, moderate suspension, medium speed (236, 224). Available clubman-394hp.

Grindelwald: fairly high speed put pretty balanced, gear for 2-5, stiff suspension, medium-high speed (244, 227). Available clubman to 394hp or max with NA.

High speed ring: again, MR's will spin out on banked turns if suspension not set carefully, otherwise tune for 3-5 acceleration, stiff suspension, high top speed (254, 214, 195). Available sunday-591hp.

Seattle Short: technical cornering but lots of jumps and bumps, tune for 2-4 acceleration, medium-soft suspension, low top speed (220). Available clubman-max.

Grand Valley East: balanced track, tune for 2-5 acceleration, stiff suspension, high top speed (253, 197). Available for MR at 345, all others in GT300 at 591hp.

Autumn Ring: absolute cornering, gear 2-3 best, 4 as 3, 5 taller, stiff suspension, low top speed (216). Availabe 295hp and for NA at max tuning.

Clubman R5: balanced track, 2-5 acceleration, stiff suspension, medium top speed (231, 202). Only available for FR at 295hp.

Rome Night, autumn mini, Motorsports land: didn't go over to arcade to look at them...

All of these courses are obviously available through random selection at the special event generator and manufacturer's events, where they can also show up backwards (very exciting!) If backwards, in general the suspension and gearing should be the same, but the top speeds may be different since you get a different entrance onto the straight.

I take it this is a general guideline for tuning for each of these tracks? That's a LOT of work. Great job 👍

Thanks! But I wouldn't say I'm an expert on tuning, so if you have any differences of opinion or more specific advice to offer about suspension settings especially feel free to leave feedback here.

I looked at overall composition of a course: how many straights, how long on average, how many corners and how tight they were, and bumpiness.

I was just tired of taking a car for a spin only to find that (on the back stretch of Deep Forest for example) my suspension was so tight that I lost control on the middle of a straight, or that the straights were so short (Trial Mountain) that I hardly got into 5th and could've set the final gear shorter and gotten better acceleration overall.

It's definitely handy to have a guide for each track. Finding out you set up a car wrong in the middle of a tight race (or Championship :scared:) is definitely not fun. It's not as bad in GT2 since you have the 'Test Run' option before each race, so I never really bothered keeping detailed notes.
