Circuit Mont-Tremblant

Racing circuit in Mont-Tremblant, Québec

first stab, Circuit Mont-Tremblant
>track had to be enlarged to 4.84km, versus 4.26km actual, in order to fit minimum start/finish straight length
>start/finish straight moved to between turns 9 and 10, in order to fit minimum length
>kerbs match actual ... for our purposes, could maybe use more

i might recommend the ferarri 458 italia

Please please please could someone with more skills, patience, dedication and time then me have a go a recreating my local track in Northern Ireland named Kirkistown.

I had a go an came up with some shocking results and am not exactly tech savvy to do it through maps or however people do it. It's a more or less flat, short track which would be easy for someone with the skills at working the track creator.

I will link below what info I can to show the track and a random video of a lap.

Thanks in advance for anyone having a go at it.

Cheers
Phil.

Google image not a great help as it lacks detail.

And an on-board to show the track better.

Again, thanks for anyone attempting it.

I haven't had a go yet, but I intend to in a while. In the meantime, I found that Bing has a good aerial photo of Kirkistown here https://www.bing.com/maps/?v=2&cp=5...&sp=Point.54.456_-5.469_Kirkistown Circuit___ , so hopefully will help make it. (The wikipedia page of most circuits links to a GeoHack page that has links to that location on all the major map sites, good for looking for who has the best photo).

that drives nicely, but that 8m feels too tight, especially for overtaking

i believe the real track is closer to 10m in width

and to make that 'first' turn, i had to reduce my track width to 9.6m and still massage it a little bigger to fit it in so that the nature of the turn is the same, as you can see from the overlay
the slight embiggenment of that one turn was worth it to me, as i couldn't enjoy racing a narrower track surface

you're right, those 8m feel really tight, maybe i try to redo it with bigger width, but then im pretty sure i wont get it any better than you. Nicely done, hope they update the app so we can make it to perfection.

Awesome work guys, thank you very much.
I made the request last night before heading out to dinner in the hope it would be done for this morning and yous didn't disappoint.

Thanks again. Off to have a play now......... Very happyw

I've had a go at this, you should be able to get it here - https://www.gran-turismo.com/us/gt6/user/#!/friend/gtxf-Samoht/course/1311322/

It works pretty well I think. The start-finish straight had to be straight rather than slightly curved to the right as in real life due to the Course Maker requiring a 600m straight. I wasn't 100% certain about some of the wiggles, as they aren't totally clear on google maps, but I put some wiggles in and they are quite fun ! I also dropped some kerbs in as braking point markers on the approach to turns 3 & 5, as I kept arriving far too fast into them. Length is 4,577m against 4470 in reality, so only about 3% different.

Good track, must be fun to drive in real life!
Hey Samoht gtx, Would you like this one featured in my Australian Tracks compilation thread? I'm trying to build a list of the best replicas of Australian tracks.

Would like to see 2 of my favourite tracks.

Ups, forget something, updated v1.1:

Edit: @Cote Dazur, BIG thanks to you for bringing this track on my sight, now it's one of my personal favorite tracks on game, learning more and more driving lines on it. Just amazing layout of track. Updated version v1.2, last update, deeper and sharper speed kill on turn 6.

I'm trying to re-create the Usui touge course, since I started watching Initial D that course really intrigues me, but if someone already did with an accurate simulation of the C-121 corner, do post a link.

I've found a few version of today Assen, most of them are very funny even if not particularly accurate, but I can't find anywhere the good old Assen. Does anyone have a link or would like to create it?

Length: 6027 m
Width: min 10 m - max 12 m
