I like the idea of testing out peoples tracks so add me (telling me that you want me to test your tracks) and I shall help you out!

Same for me. My PSN-id is "Turbogeit"

For the moment, I have a Pescara-like track on line. (see this Thread: https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?t=150054)

Sunday evening I will put a modern version of the Dijon race track on line, which I have described in another post like this:

In the Eifel-environment, I obtained something interesting.
One of the biggest problems of the real Dijon-track is that it was too short for F1-cars and created lapping-problems. On this fast track, the pole position in the last F1-GP was 1'02.2 (220 km/h). With the actual F1-cars, the same (still existing unchanged track) would give laps of about 45-50 seconds. First cars would be lapped after less than 10 laps. Although the design is interesting, it couldn't be used for F1 nowadays.

The track I created proposes a modern version of the original trackmap developing 5025m. It would be suitable for F1-cars. I called it "Faster_than_Dijon".

Edit: Since the Dijon-track is the only ancient F1-track in use actually which didn't undergo any changes (no new chicanes, modification of corners), it its the only track to see how motorcarracing got faster since the mid-70's. From 2006-2009, French championship-GT cars turned about the same lap-times as Lauda and Hunt in the mid-seventies: the fastest cars on the grid would have been qualified for the 1977 F1-Grand Prix. In 2010, the new GT3-cars turned about 3 seconds slower.

I'm just starting the whole track maker thing, and figured this would be a great group to share my creations with! I think right now I've got a smaller sub 2:00 course I like up, and I'm working on a longer one that's looking promising so far, a couple of sections have some really fun and unique corners. I appreciate any feedback, and I'll try to try out some of your tracks as well! (If I don't forget).

Here are images of two of my tracks. Actually, its the 78-turn track which is online.

Except B-spec for when I have something else to to and season events to get money to buy cars, I only race on course-maker generated tracks, mostly with ordinary (non-race) cars from 150 to 450 HP.

I currently use about 15 to 20 different tracks. One of these days, I'll create a thread with a catalogue of these tracks.

How do you guys get such good screen shots?

I'm new to track sharing - actually haven't got round to using the creator much yet - and I have a few newbie questions:

If I download a track someone's shared can I save it for use later, or will I lose access to it when they stop sharing it?

Assuming I can save it, if I later want to use it on my second PSN account will I have to add the creator as a friend on that account as well (and ask them to share it again if they no longer are) or can I share between accounts on the same PS3?

I'd really like to try this one out. I'm a sucker for tracks from the era when racing had soul as well as speed, and I have quite a soft spot for Dijon. I remember some very enjoyable runs there in a Fiat Marea touring car in one of the TOCA games.

1) When you download it, it is saved. It is "locked", which means you can't change it.
2) Didn't yet try to put online a track I received from someone else. Will try it Monday.

For the moment my 78 turns "Toscana Tarmac Rally" is online, but I can put the Dijon concept track back online monday evening. Which is your PSN-ID?

I should have thought that I could try that out myself rather than asking. It seems you can share them again, which is certainly useful. There's an online ID listed for the track too, so hopefully the original creator is still credited.

Thanks Turbogeit, I'll send you a friend request shortly (AG_K7).

Hit me up if you want to, I can test tracks out. Message me. I do have a SCCA regional competition license, for some credentials lol.

Hi I would like to have some feedback on this track that I like a lot to the extend of wanting so bad a feature to give names to all the turns

I have put up a demolition derby track. It is called Drift Park (misnomer FTW). Drive it on Infinite laps using Jay Leno Tank Car One-Make race with heavy damage. How long can you survive?
