The following are the ratios/equivalents commonly used when Trading in the Marketplace:

(// means 'equal to')

1 Car/Ticket // 1 Car
1 Car/Ticket // 1 Ticket
1 Car/Ticket // Two Sets of Gears (68 pieces)
1 Car/Ticket // 5 Paints
1 Car/Ticket // 5 Museum Cards
1 Car/Ticket // 5 Horns

X Museum Cards // X Museum Cards
X Museum Cards // X Paints/Horns
X Paints/Horns // X Paints/Horns

I personally use the following ratios:

1 car = 1 car
1 car = 1 ticket
1 car = two set of gears (68 pieces)
1 car = 5 paints
1 car = 5 MC's
1 car = 5 horns

5 paints = 5 paints
5 paints = 5 horns

and so on ....
