What level does it unlock? I love tuning gear ratios manually and this is pissing me off big time.
"Its a level thing"?, is this the standard, default response to anything thats missing?
Seriously though, has it been confirmed?, what level does it "unlock"?

This is happening to me aswell on all of my cars. Its really annoying. If it is by level and you dont have it by level 19, then ive got a lot of waiting to do, im only level 15.

If it's indeed a level thing then i'm going to be cheesed off, but not as much as if it wasn't... because then how would we get it? Wait for a patch? This is my one biggest disappointment with the game so far right behind not having button mapping for the G27. I am puzzled as to what good reason they have to not include this as it's such an integral feature to tuning.

Lol, any evidence to back that up? I can't adjust the ratios on mine, and people in here who are over level 20 are saying the same. Regardless, the idea that the ability to actually adjust the transmission that you just paid 20k for becomes slowly unlocked over time is preposterous.
By this logic, you're saying that PD decided to change the conventional formula, which is to race and slowly save money over time so that you can upgrade your car and progress through the game, to a new system where you do that, but when you finally can afford upgrades, you can't use them until you progress further in the game?
Hmmm, that's interesting, seeing as how you CAN'T progress through the game without upgrading your car to make it more competitive, lol. Clearly, this is a glitch (among many others), and this was not intentional. However, I just have to say that I think it's absolutely astounding that people like you are such loyal fanboys of this series that you will just mindlessly fabricate explanations about how this "new system" works rather than recognize an obvious glitch. Wow. Just, wow.

The text description when tuning the full customizable transmission left me with the impression that it was intentional. Doesn't make me like it though. If someone has the time to copy the text from the tuning shop/settings screen regarding the transmission we can parse the words till we go nuts. If i get time ill do it this weekend.

Its not a level thing, because everything that needs to be unlocked by level tells you when you click on it. There are no modding/tuning parts that need to be unlocked, everything is available from the start. I personally don't use individual gear settings I just adjust the main setting that effects speed/acceloration as I have in all prior GT games, but I did plan on eventually tinkering with individual gear settings so to here this is a bumber. I wanted to expirament with the final gear to see if it improved performance on winding tracks with long straights. *sigh*

I would rather just be able to tune my cars how I want when I start... not a fan of this hole lvl thing would rather it had not been brought in!
