Just posting this up to see if anyone is interested in such a thing. Cars are spec'd as closely as I could get to this car. Unfortunately the real car runs on Yokohama racing slicks, and in GT5 those were just too much for it. On sport soft tires I was able to pretty much match their Tsukuba lap time. (within 0.030 sec) But then I got to driving the car on other tracks and it's a blast to run.

This would be a 5-week championship, each race weekend consisting of two 15-20 minute sprint races with a reverse grid for the second race. We'd start racing in early August, after the GT Academy stuff is complete.

Car Specs:
  • Full weight reduction
  • Sports Exhaust Manifold
  • Titanium Racing Exhaust
  • Short Ratio 6-Speed Transmission
  • Single Disc Clutch
  • Sports Flywheel
  • Adjustable LSD
  • Fully Customizable Suspension
  • Sport Soft Tires
Tracks:
  1. Motegi East
  2. Autumn Ring Reverse
  3. Cape Ring South
  4. Trial Mountain
  5. Tsukuba Circuit

👍

Cool. 👍

Need to spread the word on this one, seems the last 15 ideas I have had were all duds. :indiff:

I'll advertise in my sig if that isn't too crude. This part of the forum is quite simply empty.

And don't be hard on yourself or your ideas, the GT5 online race community has been slowly dieing and is not what it used to be. If you start something when GT6 is released, there will be more takers than space available.

Sagaris might have a point. Although I'm interested in this series, it might be better if you waited until GT6's release if you want bigger fields.

Also, who knows, the Griffon might be in GT6!

Yeah. I've got plans floating around in the back of my head for a Facebook page dedicated to GT6 online leagues, where people can post and promote their racing series. Figured it was a good idea...

In any case, maybe we can do a spot race with this if the championship isn't popular.

I would say I'm in but as you know my work schedule can be pretty erratic.

Not that I wouldn't try make a few races, just I can't guarantee full commitment.
