Is this just me? Ive been back and forth checking in an out to see if anything has changed with logi pro dd wheel since all the updates. Low and behold the weirdist thing after several months of trying everything in wheel base and game settings nothing works. Out if pure frustration I decided to turn on compatibility mode G923 which I never thought to do before thinking this is a downgrade to the Pro but since 1.49 my wheel has been garbage. So I set it for compatibility mode G923 and my wheel came alive. I was floored, what the heck is going on. Then I went into settings and here is where I'm at which now for me has made this game totally playable again. I cant even explain why or how this is happening but wanted to share with all my other buds on here that have had the same issue with the update and loosing the feeling of tru force. Apparently I was not aware that Logitech added True force technology to the G923 wheel and it comes through loud and clear in compatibility mode. You cannot adjust the true force audio in this mode but im finding I dont have to. A few simple quick adjustments verses a whole array of crap to adjust before has made this great for any car in the game. Below is how I set this up and guys/gals please dont slam me if you try this and aren’t happy.

Game settings:
Vibration function 100
Controller FFB Torque 7-8 adjust as needed
FFB Sense 3 or your preference

Wheel base-
G923 compatible mode
Strength 4.0-5.0 again quick adjustment if need more or less
FFB Filter 10
Damp- 10
Brk force 8 or whatever you like.

The strange thing is when I first turn on the game and start to drive a car Force feedback is strong even though I haven’t changed anything and all I do is pull up the ui on the wheel and dial it down 1 click 4.0-3.9 and it corrects it and then I can dial back up if needed.
This is beyond anything iI can figure out other than it seems to be some glitch or something but it works every time. I am back playing but I'm sure I'm still downgrading.
Oh damn. I haven't used that mode since having issues first using it. Worth a checkout for sure!

Still hoping

At this point I am used to how it is...not happy with it but I still play once a week or so. The change really is ******** though. I can't believe it hasn't even been acknowledged.
Me too!
What happened was I needed to see was it my wheel or the update so I decided to jump into GT Sport from a few years ago which of course I played the hell out of and wanted to see how the wheel reacts there. Well no option for the GPro wheel which is what actually prompted me yo turn on compatibility mode to the G 923. What a wake up call. Turned it off went to GT7 and started the process.

How do you select this G923 compatibility mode? Is it in the wheel hub? Thanks

It should be in the settings on the wheel base at the very bottom if I remember correctly. Haven't been at home to try this out yet myself.
Its on the wheel
When you turn on your wheel you have to select a profile then scroll under the settings until you see compatibility mode its near tge end of selections then select that to G 923. Add a note I did raise the dampner to 50 from 10 yesterday as still getting it better.

Keep in mind that every time you exit the game or restart the wheel your force feedback will be really strong for some reason This is what makes me think its a glitch but rest assured just go into the wheel even while driving and just dial strength down one click you will immediately feel it drop so I go from my saved setting of 4.1 on strength down one click to 4.0 and the wheel is good. Can even turn it back up a click if you like but initially it corrects the strength. This may just be my wheel haven’t confirmed this with anyone yet so let me know.

Took the damper to 50 seems a bit better

Mate, I just tried the G923 Mode and man does it work! The wheel is alive again with stronger trueforce and it feels more detailed again….

Thanks for the tip!

(I kept my settings more or less the same with strength 8 in game, everything else in the hub yanked up to max, strength 11.0, FFB filter 4 now and dampener OFF)

Hello everyone,
I received my G Pro Wheel, and I did my first tests last night.
I am lost for the moment.
I started from these basic settings but I guess they are obsolete.

At the moment, I am much slower and I feel like I will have to learn everything again... disturbing.
I will try the different settings you mention... but they seem to go in very different directions.

There was an update as your aware 1.49 which changed the game physics and caused my GPro to go flat, unstable and a loss of feeling. For months I tried to get it right in the settings and used their recommended settings as well anything I could find online or my pwn ideas but to no avail. Recently I tried compatibility mode and it seems to have brought the wheel back to life for me and also after posting I think Pzynen had success. That said there probably is a learning curve going from a controller to a wheel. I had to change views when driving a wheel. I use bumper view, that helped in getting perspective and timing down. I still believe the GPro wheel is one of the best out there.
Yes my recent posted settings go against the grain but I gave up on logic with settings since none of that wasn’t working. I thought it may have just been my wheel. Hard to say what your experiencing. If the wheel feels great let it be thats all i can say. Hope this helps.
Good luck.

Thank you for sharing.
I would test your solution but it seems strange to use the compatibilty mode.

The hardware Sim thread is really long and tedious searches among the 160 pages.

This place could be a great help.

I opted for the G Pro after a discussion started by @Carlos Fandango and feedback from @luv2drive @Evilmuffin @Dan_Tes

I created a Google Sheet that lists all the exchanges on thread.
Feel free to comment, modify it.

I still haven’t decided @NicoGmbh … G Pro is the ultimate choice for me and it’s one I’d have confidence in given the decade plus of G29 use, but I’m intrigued by the new Thrustmaster wheel for half the price.

Very pleased that the discussion was helpful to you though. Would be great if you could drop back in there and share your thoughts at some point 👍

I was a user of the T300RS at the time of GT Sport.

I have barely tested it on GT7 because of a change in my configuration (PS5 in the living room on LG 65' G2 and very good sensations with the Dualsense).

Given the number of hours spent on GT7 (without fatigue), I wanted to offer myself a suitable set up.

The logitech G Pro with its pedals is really a very nice material, which repsire the quality of the opening of the box to the installation on the rig.

I understand better the feedback from the owners of the G Pro.

At the moment, I have too many changes at once to give accurate feedback.

I’m moving from the sofa/Dualsense to the Sim Lab P1X Pro/G Pro Wheel rig... I finished the building last night.

I concentrated on the assembly of the set, the correct driving position, positioning the screen... I still have a little cable management to nail it.

However, I made a discovery of the G Pro last night.

The FFB is really powerful, it surprised me.

The direct drive is really another world when we knew the belt motors.

The pedals are the other huge surprise... no more sessions in socks! For me, shoes are essential.

I’m glad I took care of the driving position because I really need my back to be put in the Sparco Grid to send the necessary force to the brake.

I started on the High Speed Ring (Ferrari F50, BMW E30, Porsche Turbo S) to have time to integrate the informations on a simple track.

For the moment, too many parameters have changed, I have to relearn a lot of things, but frankly the experience is intense.

For the moment, I am slower (compensate for the pleasure) but I intend to return to my previous pace.

That’s why I came here to learn from other racers, move in the right direction, and enjoy 100% of this beautiful equipment.

I wasn't able to get this to work. Unfortunately when i got into G923 compatibility mode, the wheel itself doesn't work for me. It is probably an issue tied to the fact that i'm using drivehub and a PC logitech pro wheel to connect to the ps5. I could probably horse around with it but I didn't invest too much into it. When it reboots it just doesn't connect properly to the game. I may try again some other time. I was too busy testing out the ps5 pro with the PSVR2 to care about it.

@NicoGmbh Congtrats on your new Logictech G-Pro wheel. I just love mine and the extra fidelity it provides vs. my prior G923.

Regarding the FFB and recent changes, here's where I'm currently at.

When the 1.49 update came out, like others, I was shocked by the change and "flat" feeling of the wheel compared with what we had before. I read some thread (including this one) and tried making some adjustments, and I was still not super happy.

I've been on-and-off of GT7 for the past several months due to vacation and work stuff.

Recently just got back in the seat and I've been running quite a bit since the 1.54 update. Right now I'm pretty happy with the way the new physics are feeling. I'm not sure if this is simply because I "forgot" what it used to feel like or they made some tweaks in the last few updates to fix a few things.

But over all the physics does seem significantly improved. I've read similar sentiments in this regard by many others whom I respect. Am I getting "as much" FFB as I used to? Not sure. However, as you mentioned, I can definitely get the torque dialed way up if I want to. I generally set the FFB level to 5, but sometimes adjust to 4 or 6 depending on the car. It seems it is now more car type dependent, with certain race cars needing less torque. Also the crazy wheel wobble with higher speed cars seems to have been tamed a bit with the 1.54 update.

I also learned from some threads by @LOGI_Rich that you shouldn't really be setting the FFB settings on the wheel, but rather just use GT7 settings, because it overrides them anyway, so I've been following that model. I do have some baseline settings in the wheel, but I'm not 100% sure if they are having any effect anymore or not.

I'm curious what your experience has been since you're new to the G-Pro, but at this point, for whatever reason, psychological or not, I'm not as frustrated or unhappy with the FFB as I was when 1.49 was released.

Hello @luv2drive ,
I give you my opinion keeping in mind that I start with this wheel after a very long use on the pad.
I discovered GT1 with a stick-free controller :D

I’m still perfecting the details of my rig and my G Pro.
If the driving position started to be good, I recently made a compromise on my screen position.
Between the fidelity of the FOV and the direct reading of the HUD, I preferred the second.
On this side, I think I would not change much.

For the pedal, I also made adjustments.
I removed the clutch pedal and moved the accelerator and brake to the left.
I wish to have these pedals directly in the axis of my legs because I felt discomfort in my right leg.

For the brake, I went to the hardest composition at foam + elastomers.
At the moment, it seems to be what suits me best in terms of sensations.
I would try a composition a little softer to have a definitive opinion.

For the gas pedal, I use the brown spring.
I ordered from 3Drap a set to reduce the travel of the accelerator pedal.
Originally, I find that the ankle flexion is too large.
I should receive all this today and I intend to test it this weekend.

At the moment, I mainly ride with the Honda S2000 in Grand Valley in the TT challenge, so with soft comfort tires, weak abs as only help.

I found myself at rank +20000 while I had reached rank 668 with the BMW M3 at Dragon Trail Gardens Reverse (I have a real preference for road cars).

For the base settings, I work like you by adjusting the degree of the in-game FFB according to the car.

With the informations collected here, especially those given by @Oshawa-Joe, and more practice, I found much better sensations.

Since update 1.52, I’m starting with the recommended settings of Logitech.

Currently, I play as follows:

Options Controllers: vibration On
Options Controllers: Vibration intensity – 150

In-game Controller steering sensitivity: 5
FFB Max Torque: 7
FFB sensibilty: 4

Base FFB Strenght: 11
TF Audio: 85
FFB Filter: 8
Dampener: 15
Angle: 1080
Brake force: 25

I’m starting to like the feeling that I have with this car and I got back around 2800 th place, around +2.00% compared to the best in the world.
This is already more in line with my pad rhythm.

With this configuration, I feel the variations in the dynamic behaviour of the car much better. This is a big change from the pad.

For example, even if it is not the turn that is important to GV, in the last curve before the finish line, I like very much the feeling of understeer and the change of consistency of the direction in the middle of the curve... Impossible with the excellent DualSense.

To complete, keeping these settings, I did a session on the HSR with the F50 in racing soft.
The sensations are very good, I improved my times but I think it would be too tiring on long sessions.
It’s a great help to modulate the Max Torque In-Game according to car and tires.

I want to try other proposals from Oshawa-Joe that recommends a FFB sensibility on 1 and a dampener Off.
I tried to gradually lower this first parameter without noticing any real changes but I have to continue investigating.

I wait to refine this before publishing final parameters.
You get it, I continue my journey to discover my excellent G-Pro.
