TrueForce in Logitech GPro Wheel No Longer Working Since 1.57

The more I think about it - and the more time passes - the less confident PD will bother fixing this before the presumed April update. Since everything works fine in 1P and TTs, and it's only online races that are messed up, I feel PD don't really care since most people in the game don't play Sport Mode. At this point, they have less than 17 hours before the AO players start their WS races.

Throwing a hail Mary here but hoping that maybe @LOGI_Rich has an update or any more information. Doubt it, but worth a shot.

I feel like if this issue was with Fanatec PD would've fixed it by now as that's what the big boys [are forced to] use. No way they'd let that slide with those who have, and likely will again, qualify for the live event.

Actually, some of the top pilots are still using the Thrustmaster T-GT II. So it's really embarrassing for PoDi.

If the first ASOC time slot is noon China Standard Time on Wednesday April 2, that's 0400 UTC on Wednesday April 2. That's just under 41 hours from the time of your post.

But they've only really got until 0600 UTC on Tuesday April 1 (lol) to release the update - which is nearer 19hr from your post - because 0600 UTC on Wednesday would be two hours too late, and soak up two more hours (or at least four slots) in maintenance.

Bah, I got my days crossed. So yea, 17 as I misstated plus an additional 24 is the 41 you stated. I didn't realize that second bit.

Regardless, it's not looking good at the moment.

It shouldnt be that hard to fix this thing or at least adress the problem.
It is something very specific affecting two brands in similar ways.

Transducer on Thrustmaster and Trueforce on Logitech were killed after the last update and the thing is that it doesnt happens on qualy or practice sessions.
So how hard can be for PD to figure out what output values to the wheels differs from one session to another?

It blows my mind and I lost all hope of doing the GTWS.

It’s been years since PoDi don’t listen. Game is dying and Yamauchi San is responsible of it.
I believe it’s the last time we see official GTWS if they don’t drastically change the way they communicate and develop the game.
Unimog, Kangoo, CX-30… PoDi is smoking some good stuff for sure!

An optimistic, benefit of the doubt giving person might think, perhaps they've been tinkering with the code in an effort to get Full Force™️ working and in so doing, broke the signal output powering two other wheel manufacturers' premier features.

A cynical conspiracy theorist might beg an answer to a couple three questions; Who benefits from 2 of the major wheel manufacturers' premier features dying, oddly enough, in the online environment only, just before a major online event?
Any Logitech or Thrustmaster customers considering a jump to Fanatec?
Who owns Fanatec now? Oh yeah, Corsair.
Follow the money folks.

Exactly. The wheel with the official Gran Turismo license just so happens to be the only DD wheel that hasn't been affected. It ALMOST seems like PD wants us to buy the wheel that earns them money. The problem only exist during multiplayer right when there is a online qualifying event around the corner? That doesn't even make sense. If this update would have broken the Fanatec they would have either postponed this qualifying event or rolled back the update.

They broke Fanatec wheel last years before world finals. There wasn't any force feedback in formula cars. Yet PD featured a formula cars race in World Finals. Moreover, the problem hadn't been revolved for months. I wouldn't be building conspiracy theories as Fanatec wheels has been the most affected wheels in recent updates

I would wager that is a system software update for the PlayStation, but I appreciate the optimism.
You would, obviously, win that wager, since that's what I said it was.

I don't know if every GT7 update has been preceded by a PS update, since I got my PS5 and GT7 about 8 months after GT7 release, it's been my experience there's been a PS update before every GT7 update since then. I do admit there is a possibility there wasn't the one following the other, every time, since I haven't actually tracked those updates and missed about 6 months worth in '23. If @Famine hasn't been tracking and can correlate, I'll bet someone can. Perhaps even you.

I'll be honest mate I haven't noticed that happen even once. As far as I'm aware, they are completely uncorrelated.

Well, I just got a PS system software update. Perhaps that is the fix or preparation for an incoming fix.
Why don't you search for what the software actually contains? It has nothing to do with a GT7 update to fix the wheel problem. There are timely system updates (last one I think was January), so yes there are updates that are going to happen sometime before any game updates.

Well, since Famine hasn't chosen to chime in here, I gathered some data. My conclusions from gathering that data and correlating it are such;
  • GT7 updates have happened, and will, without a PS5 software update.
  • There have been 45 GT7 updates (starting with 1.06) since March 10th, 2022.
  • There have been 34 PS5 updates in that same time frame, including today's.
  • Of those 34 PS5 updates, I can identify 6 that did not preclude a GT7 update before the next PS5 update released.
  • The longest time between a PS5 update release and GT7 update release, with nothing of either between either, is 39 days.
  • The average is 11 days between a PS5 update release and GT7 update release, with nothing between either.
  • There is an 82% "drop rate" of a GT7 update releasing after a PS5 update, within a 0-39 day window after a PS5 update.
I accept my findings could be in error. I'm not really that smart and my research sources may not have provided accurate data for my remaining two brain cells to cypher with.

As much as I'd love to believe the PS5 update is only due to a GT7 glitch, I am so confident it isn't I told my PS5 to delay the update as I was shutting it down.

All GT players are on PS; not all PS players are on GT. They're not related.

PoDi must have changed something regarding FFB, but once again it was a "ghost" change mentioned in the update notice under:
8. Others
 - Various other issues have been addressed.

Or perhaps it's because of:
5. Controllers
 - Added support for the THRUSTMASTER® T598.

The lack of communication of this company is killing them. Usually they tell more to the top pilots on a private channel but here they just messed up. And they messed up not anticipating a bug that could happen, meaning they risked the whole official season schedule with an update we don't know the whole of it (once again). BoP mostly but clearly not the only addition/modification here.
They should have anticipated a problem with sufficient time to investigate and patch.

We could add the fact that since day 1 this game is a clear step back from GTS regarding lobbies. Many private championships were taking place on GTS. It's still not reliable on GT7 (lags and stuff). That "checking network envrionment" spinner is just a loss of time for nothing knowing how bad some connections can be in lobbies. Wasn't there in GTS, yet it was way better.

They could do so many more with the platform they have, they just don't want to probably. Spending hours to modelize a Kangoo is so much more interesting, rewarding and expected by the community.

In the end, we can read: "it's because they work on GT8" but GT7 is far from being a finalized game. I guess all they care about is how many copies they sell, then they don't care and do what they wanna do, unfortunately.

I have Logitech G Pro wheel. Had to race the first round today at the Nurburgring. Had no true force during qualifying nor the race.

I tried turning the base on and off between qualifying and start of the race. No luck. True force stayed absent.

When I am racing with offline, True force works as normal.

PS5 update yesterday hasn’t fixed anything.

Well, since Famine hasn't chosen to chime in here
... because I sometimes have other things to do at 9.36pm and onwards.

But yes, PlayStation firmware updates are not connected in any way to Gran Turismo 7 game updates.

Usually they tell more to the top pilots on a private channel
There is a group chat that contains many (past and current) GTWS live event participants and some PD representatives, but from what I know the conversations are more along the lines of the GTWS itself and not as bidirectional as you seem to suggest.

On this situation I would imagine (I'm neither a GTWS live event participant nor a PD representative) that the drivers have brought the FFB issue to PD's attention, rather than anything coming in the opposite direction.
