Trying to Counter bad feelings.. Have a look ^^

This is the reason I have no real intention of ever joining a team on here. Yes, it's nice to have a group of guys you drift with a lot and have competitions with/against every now and then, but they do tend to split up and fragment the larger communities and create tension and rivalries. And whilst rivalries are healthy in moderation, people need to know when to stop being at each other's throats, for the good of the community as a whole. But, sometimes team loyalties get in the way of this.

As for the internet cock waving over numbers of posts and bans and how long you've been here and how long you've been in the scene in real life, it'll never, ever win an argument, ever.

Also, from real world experience, there are guys who talk crap all day long on the forums, but in real life they're the nicest people you've met. I've only been in one room for about an hour with Mysterious R/SFX_Calibre, but he seemed like a pretty chill, sound guy. I'll be honest, I was pretty shocked when I saw his PSN tag on here haha. But that's just how it goes, in real life and in GT5/GTP. So people need to learn to take everything with a pinch of salt and forgive a little easier, on both sides of the argument.

The team scene i think hasnt set itself out properly yet though. Over time it will grow and hopefully become something to be recognised in the world of gaming then teams will have there place!!

Us teams need to start getting together and hanging out without having any motives in terms of battling or ill will. I think that will be the day where we see real change in the GTP/GT5 drifting community, whenever things go from "battle oriented" to "community oriented."

Amen man, its hard to overcome the fact that 75% of us are apart a type of family on gtp. while the other 25% really want to be different in a way that is for the better, or for the worse.

This definately needs to start happening. If you think about real life, for regular drifters at least 80% of their seat time will be at practice days, drifting with people who they may compete against, but all in a chilled out, relaxed manner. Even the pros, over here at least, spend at least half their seat time just drifting with their mates. And a lot of the drift videos we all admire from Japan come from practice days, not competition (Meihan and Ebisu Touge course come to mind instantly)

The best drift rooms I've ever been in were TwinTurboCH's old rooms. Anyone welcome, just stick by the rules and have fun. No high expectations or competitions, just people having a laugh and doing what they felt most comfortable with

ah, TTCH, he was in a way like the leader of how we should act at certain times. We need to act in a a formal nice matter when are off the topic of winning. We should be doing ourselves as a whole and get together without the often. "my team is wayyy better then yours" or the "how did he win? he was basicly dragging his a** the entire course".

I think we should stop our competitions for now. And maybe start it around december or january. But for this entire summer I say we just practice, have fun, and do what we do best. Drift

Yes it's quite something . We had a little get together a good while back with Southern Sliders. We were up pretty early and had a good laugh with them. That is what you call a good community!.

We have went up against NEMESIS and had a bad bout with them but no bad feelings left at all. Still have maximum respect for those guys and also your lot Duman, i've been around a couple of times with you guys and had a lot of fun.

I'll do my best to keep the thread up top and if it stays popular quick enough i'll try and get it stickied .

I disagree with this one Zed... It's cool to be part of a team just to have other like minded people to play the game with and have fun, but I like competitions as does the rest of my team!

Competitions are fun and puts pressure on the competing players to perform. I have enjoyed all of the battles NEMESIS has been in even if we did get robbed with "home town judging" in one of the battles ( LOL!!) but its all good. I have no ill feelings about it now and had no ill feelings about it back then - same as for the rest my team. We are professional - always. We will take our wins and our losses and in both cases we will handle it professionally and still be cool with everyone afterwards.

I'm proud to be part of NEMESIS and proud to have teammates who support and represent the team to the fullest. All of the people on NEMESIS are incredible players, professional, friendly, and respectful. This is what it should be about - not politics, b/s, and egos. As long as your cool with us, we're cool with you. That's how it should be, right?

Guys.. after 4 mens hard grafting today.. Our XR2 Turbo Track car is finally running and completey moving. Not 1 problem with it apart from body panels, Roll cage and suspension adjustments.

I'm actually so proud of myself Pitted it up against the Audi on the Motorway with a 20mph start.. It actually kept up until about 120 Seconds i mean not MPH
