This is something that I have wanted to set up for a long time. I think it could be quite popular if done right. All runs would be done under the supervision of a race steward to make sure the car's regulations are in check. This saves people time by not having to export replays to prove their lap is legit, and it also allows multiple people to make runs at one time so that everything runs quicker.

Details:

[*]Runs will be done in official rooms with a specific schedule.
[*]Depending on the number of drivers, an official time trial run would include 1 to 3 drivers on track at the same time.
[*]These runs would be done in "race mode" with the laps set to 4.
[*]1 entry lap, 1 warmup lap, 1 hot lap, 1 cooldown lap
[*]Race steward would later review the replay to make sure runs were clean.
[*]Clean times will then be put on the official leader board.

There will be multiple classes, based loosely on the real official rules. (If I can find them)

Would anyone be interested in this?

I might be interested, what cars will be included?

Anything.

Edit: That's a bit of a loose term actually. Pretty much any street-car based vehicle on sport soft tires. What I mean by street based, is anything up to RM cars.

Interesting, Ok definitly, this course is very tight and would love to run here.... ^^RM'S so if it were going to be HP restricted around 525-530 HP? If so definitly, we should put a limit though..... Definitly Interested though sounds like a lot of fun ... .

^^^^^ Interested man, I might have 9 other people willing to take part in this, Ill talk with my Club tonight..... You may have 10 ppl signed up including me we'll see, we could use practice here and a competition is a great way of doing so...

If you have people interested, then we'll do it. Give me a couple days to come up with some basic rules, we might just do a PP/Tire limit for each class and leave it at that.

I figure rooms on Saturday mornings open for a couple hours at most should be sufficient.

How did I miss this? I'm in depending on the date, I'm busy for the next two weeks except Friday evening and Saturday and part of Sunday. I really hope you decide to go through with this. Two questions though, what driving assists will be allowed? And are we allowed to enter more than one class? Or are we only allowed to pick and choose one?

Depending on my schedule, which at the moment is pretty much free each weekend, I'll run it for a couple hours every Saturday morning. (maybe Noon EST) This won't be a series, it would just be a running leader board that everyone can compete on.

One thing I would like to do is capture each person's record run and have a youtube video available of that run for anyone to see. This would of course require me to get a better computer, which I am hoping to have next month.

It will be no assists, including ABS being forced OFF. Think we can make this as realistic as possible. :)

Haha nice, can't wait.... Also, where can I find RM's, I would like to run the Camaro SS RM...
If not, im going to run the corvette c6, is there going to be a HP limit, if so, I think it should be around 550

I'd assume different classes would have different restrictions as far as horsepower(unless we use PP? Or is that to unrealistic?). You can find RMs in GT Auto, buy the "base" car (2010 Camaro SS) and go to GT Auto and it's the last option on the far right.

The top class might have a limit, haven't planned out that car yet.

The Camaro RM is obtained by purchasing a new premium Camaro and adding the RM package to it in GT Auto. (far right option)

Edit: Tree'd.

I will be interested in this. If my free time fits then I will definitely be keen. Every competition needs a last place. Or as I call it, 16th best time trialer at Scuba. ;)

^^^ LOL, it looks really nice, when do you think you'll know classes? also will we be able to choose our class? should be like this: (just a quick idea)

Drivetrain: 4WD
HP limit: 500 <ex

Its looking good, once I know the pp limits ill tell you which class im going to join.

Esit: are tc's allowed? Like from dlc #1
