Hey madmax the 370z academy car works

Thanks for letting me know , I happened to be able to verify this myself today by borrowing one from Sjaak.

It turns out the GT Academy 370Z can be fitted with Dirt and Snow tyres the normal way , so I won't be adding this to the list.

I also checked the '09 Academy SpecV (licence prize car) and it also can be fitted with Dirt Tyres the normal way.

Cars left to check:

Edge Special Camaro (the normal camaro / RM camaro can get Dirt Tyres the normal way)
and
2 Academy GT-R SpecV (as far as I know , one is '10 and the other has no year listed)

This is without a doubt the best glitch anyone has ever come across in this game. Cheers to you Madmax86. Here's a present for you. Take a cookie!

Unfitting Rally Car rally pics coming shortly...

EDIT: Here they are!

g6KMT.jpg

Vauxhall Calibra Super Touring Car fights its way around my toughest rally course ever made.

Hehe thanks
Nice pics of unfitting rally cars. 👍
I like the Calibra picture especially.

For some reason my 430 Scuderia won't get the dirt tires. ???

You need to enter the Seasonal Event Time Trial 17 Eiger Norwand W Trail.
And to do that the 430 Scuderia must weight atleast 1200kg and the power needs to be detuned to 295 BHP or below.

I just thought of this: Everyone wants NASCARs on dirt, right? So what if someone made B-Spec race it in a REALLY long race lots of times so the engine lost alot of horsepower? Then maybe you could get it to 295HP and get dirt tires for it.

It is possible that any car that with minimum weight of 1200kg (after ballasting) is able to enter the TT17 Eigen Norwand W Trail.
I haven't tested this myself as it's very time consuming.
Doing that with a NASCAR would require thousands and thousands of kilometers/miles to happen thought.

The first car I can thinks for testing engíne breaking is GT-R Concept LM Race Car.
It has 616 BHP once the engine is broken in and over 592 BHP at 0km.
So , how mutch miles/kilometers would it take to wear out the engine to 592 BHP or below?

MadMax

Edge Camaro can get the Dirt/Snow tyres by default.

Ok , thats what I thought. Thanks for letting me know.

2 cars to go SpecV Academy '10 and the other with no year listed.
Actually I think the 2 SpecV's are the same car.
The one from licence tests is '09 so the other got named as '10 by people even thought the car has no year after it's name.

I have only a handfull of cars , to which I haven't been able to grab Dirt Tyres.
Those were simply too powerfull (because of engine break in).

There are some nice Mercedes Benz's in the OCD currently , which can get the tyres.
Unfortunatedly the SLR McLaren '03 is broken in and can't get the tyres.

EDIT: According to Famine's car list the SLR McLaren '03 starts at 597 BHP , which is too much to enter the TT even after engine power limiting.
Still I was able to enter the TT with My similar car bought from UCD with 35203km on the odometer 💡

I'm going to check the power this 35k km car has in garage before engine limiter shortly.

This really proves that with engine wear down you can squeeze certain cars in this TT that are yet to be listed.

Back with the numbers for this 35203km SLR McLaren '03

first:
0km = 597 BHP
300km/0km from OCD = 616 BHP
35203km = 582 BHP

so starting point is 616 BHP (no oil change)

616-582 = 34 BHP

Taking into account the 5000km / 4700km full power time:

34 BHP / 30203km = 1 BHP / ~888km

, ~5.52% power degrease over 30203km

Now , I'll try to use this for the GT-R Concept LM Race Car

starting at 616 BHP at 4324km (-676km)
in theory I need to drive = ? km to get mileage of xx.xxx km

616 - 592 = 24
24 BHP = ~21329km

21329km+676km = 22005 km =
Daytona Speedway = 4km

22005 : 4 = 5501 laps
about 100 hours =
~ 4 days around daytona speedway (doing laps of 1'05.57x average with a rubberband)

This is why it's not worth IMO to wear down engine just to get the tyres for one car.

After numerous grueling tests around my custom Dirtona Superspeedway track, here's what I concluded.

1) The Audi R8 is WONDERFUL offroad
2) The Gallardo is very slippery offroad for 4WD
3) The WEDSSPORT IS350 becomes a crazy drift car offroad
4) The Alfa 155 Touring Car should've been a rally car after the DTM championship changed regulations. Seriously, it's a BEAST.
5) The Vauxhall Calibra Super Touring Car is basically a British/German Alfa 155 Touring Car. It's also very good.
6) The Lexus IS-F Racing Concept is REALLY bad, like trying to drive a Lancia Stratos on ice.
And here's the lap times.

1) Alfa 155 Touring Car: 00:53:291
2) Audi R8: 00:53:710
3) Vauxhall Calibra Touring Car: 00:54:553
4) Lambo Gallardo: 00:54:672
5) WEDSSPORT IS350: 00:55:295
6) Lexus IS-F Racing Concept: 01:02:941

Yeah. And the odd part? The Audi and Lambo have GREAT dirt models....what the hell. What a WASTE! Well, almost.

I've gotten accused ALOT of hacking GT5. I try to explain the glitch, but usually mid-explanation I get kicked. I've even been reported by one Japanese guy for "cheating" in a rally race. Not my fault I can toast Escudos and Impreza RMs with a freaking Alfa touring car. :indiff:

Hahaha, I'eve already been kicked once. i've also had somee fantastic reactions to rallying mey bright yellow F40. Never have I meore wished that there were some rallycross tracks in the game.

Oh man, I really want Sony to hurry up and send my GT5 disc back from my dead PS3 so I can get in on this loophole before they close it :nervous:

This is truly an awesome glitch, thanks for the post. Oh and compiling the list of cars was very nice of you, most people would have left it up to the community to do.

I'm hoping if PD notice this glitch that they may allow all cars to install real dirt tires, since people are enjoying it, but thats not likely.

So this event ends in 2 days, and I've been rushing to aquire access to the dirt tracks with all of these cars. I cant help but think this glitch will be gone forever once this event ends. But maybe there will be a better event for this kind of glitch in the future if we're lucky.

Because of the short timeframe of the TT17's availability I desided to post the list as complete as possible.

I got confirmation on the last car , the Academy GT-R (named as '10).
It can have dirt tyres fitted normally. Thanks again Sjaak 👍

Also thanks Inferno251 for the info about chrome line and stealth cars. 👍

And thanks machate-man for the info about the Edge Camaro 👍

I'd like to call the list finished/complete/done.
But as the SLR McLaren '03 case proved , the list could get larger with intentional engine wear down.

bumping to let you all know that the seasonal will be gone soon!
11pm is when it closes, but i have no idea what timezone that is for, so hurry up!

The Ford GT LM Spec 2 Test Car is unbelievably good offroad. It is a monster at 340 hp. It hit 160 alarmingly quickly in Rally GT. Throttle control really helps it corner, but sometimes feels like driving on exposed rims.

Also the GTR-500 GTR is incredible. Ironically, the first car I took to TT17 was the 93 Calsonic GT-R. It didn't as well as I thought it would. I really wanted to take my TSO20 but it had too much power.

I haven't gone into an online lobby yet but, holy ****, that GT LM is fast.

The competition for fastest time has ended , but the TT17 Eiger Norwand W Trail event is still there!

Can someone mention just a few simple steps to make these odd rally cars handle better?

My guess is increase ride height. Anything else, like soften the suspension?

Try to keep it simple for the majority of us.

If you keep getting problems cornering (especially on FR, MR, RR cars), what is the best aid to use:

Set TC to 1 or turn on SRF?

Just thought I'd mention that the trial should be enterable (to get the tires on, y'know, whatever) for another two weeks yet. That might not prove to be the case if another trial is released; I've not yet seen that happen. You won't be able to get a rank, of course, but tires and (if not yet golded) money will still be on offer until it actually disappears or two weeks from its closing (today) elapse.

I described this here.

Now that I've gotten most of the cars on the list I'm down to a handfull of cars that almost fit in. I've been trying to run them down enough to get them into the time trial.

I was wondering does anyone have a stock Mercedes CLK-LM Race Car (also called the CLK GTR Race Car)? I'm wondering what the stock HP is. it looks like 606 HP in its description, but mine has 825 HP with no engine mods.

It looks like it might just fit in if its run down enough, or maybe that 606 figure is a typo.

Edit: Ok I did a bit more searching and it looks like it's a typo unfortunately.

agreed, I've finally run down a mercedes mclaren to get it to fit in. it took 3600 miles, hopefully the event (although closed) is still there.

Edit: Online is back up and the glitch still works.

So i've fit a couple new cars into the time trial. The 09 mclaren SLR (premium) which needed to be driven 3600 miles to lose enough power (I think 20 HP or so), and after a rebuild I dont think its too far down on power.

I also got the Pagani Zonda LM Race Car just about in, I'm 1 horsepower off as of now. This cars started off (from the used car lot) at 644 HP and with a whole bunch of miles run with the oil light on its down to 595 HP.

So if you really want a car to fit into the trial it looks like you can drop up to 50 HP with enough driving.

The way I've been racking up miles is to leave the car running B spec races while I sleep.

I've aslo figured out that you can run one make races (from the practice menu) with these tires and the AI will also use the glitched tires (they will use the default tires). This is more of a novelty since the AI are so slow but its possible they're just as good as always.

I'll add those 2 cars to the post #1 right away 👍

I did a one make race with stock Xanavi Nismo GT-R '03 awhile back and it was pretty competitive when racing TT17 specs 1200kg/2xx BHP vs 3 stock Xanavi's on R1's :D

I'm now considering of putting rubberband on freerun to break down the premium SLR McLaren '09 ..
Oh and that Zonda is going to look awesome on rally track 👍
