Autumn Ring; 3 Lap Race
Deadline 11:59pm GMT Tuesday, June 15th 2010

While not excessively tough, this track features one of the better mixes of challenges in the game. There are straights, gentle slaloms, sharp turns, and an increasing-slope loop. Combined with the turn-on-a-dime ability of the TZ125, should make for fun week.
Note: This event will have NO TYRE WEAR!

With the RL summer schedule getting busy I decided to go with a 3 lapper. But it is not cakewalk. Plenty of places to screw up on even after you get by the AI. But short enough to run it again and again and again, if you decide to go all out.

Next week at Nurburgring will be run without the Penalty System in effect. More info to follow. Haven't decided yet on the number of laps for Fuji '05. Want to keep it fun but not tick every one off. I was thinking of a ten-lapper, but without the pit feature with tyre changes and fuel. It didn't seem worth it. So poll is added at the top.

Three weeks and counting. Haven't decided if I'm going to do a Fall/Winter. A lot depends on my RL schedule(busy) and how GT5 will effect everything. I plan on heading over RP's place when my series is over. Viperin and I plan on learning the art of tuning our bikes. Follow us over to keep in touch. I'll even keep the pm's going for reminders, as long as you guys like them.

this is a very fun challenge imo.

You can't really make the difference on te straights so good corner speed is critical. U can actually go very fast around this track with these bikes.

Is any1 gonna put together a rangelist like in the previous event?

We had been discussing T's in the previous races (TRMSS excluded because it had none). And what top speed and riding style we were using. I was lucky that Jetboy had done a table for his TGC races on Motorland that I borrowed. RL is too busy for me. Want to do some racing too. But if somebody wants to do it. I'll copy and paste it into the thread. 👍

🤬 The Artificial Idiots are drunk this week. :boggled: I've had enough of their nonsense already. :irked: Times submitted.

I concur. They kept wiping out around me at turn 1. 1st time I ran the race was today. Before that I just tested the bike to see how it handled on the track. I can not be held responsible for the idiots. Your time received but not opened. 👍 Initial best lap was in the 1'27.xxx range with top speed set at 130.

Same here for the turn 1 thingy. They go really wide in turn 1 and i always try to push it through.
Only 1 solution: try to get in front of them all befor you start your second lap :sly:

I have a question i pasted a AI in turn 13 and then he collided with in turn 1, will i be hold responsable for that?

I also think it's nice to put here were u pass the AI's is that allowed?

i think i used the wrong bike so far.

cause that time that's mentioned that's the time of my first lap

edit: Intial best lap meant my best one not the first lap. Sorry for the confusion. That's probably correct knowing your level of skill. 👍

edit: Ran another race. As God as my witness I had the penalty system on! I literally rode right through a biker after he had wiped out at T1. He reappeared in the spot in front of me and I didn't have time to move but it didn't matter. Similiar thing happened the lap before as I slide through/into another biker and didn't activate the system. Saved it even though it was .008 slower than my best race. Just to watch it again. And hopefully get it up into the thread.

Ran another bike for comparison. The Yamaha TZ250SPR RM 85 and they rode normal.

indeed 👍 i always put them on hard, so i can get past them asap

As race organizer I should know everything. I wasn't aware of being able to do that in arcade. I'll check tonight after work. Duh. Figured it out. :dunce:

Had I tried the race out beforehand, I might have not gone with the TZ125. But it might turn out better this way with all the drunk sightings. :scared:

Will root for USA in the WC. Then England/Aus/Belgium and anyone else's country after mine gets tossed in the first round.

Belgium isn't even their lol.

So much potential and so less results :-(

Back on topic ^^

how do u change the tyres of the AI's?

For all races: Arcade>>Race>>Track Name>>Bike Name>>Gear>>Transmission/Tyres/Riding Form.

Choose the AI tyres here. Then go into your Quick-Tune up toolbox on the race screen to choose/change your tyres if you want. For this series there is no specified AI tyre selection. It's your choice.
Have only done this hundreds of times in GT4 for their races. But spaced out when I had to think about it for TT. :dunce: And when it clicked again, it was too late to delete the post.

Added to thread 👍

A little suggestion for a funny race:

Laps : 1
Tire wear : strong
Failure Conditions/Penalties : on
AI Tyres: soft
Your Tyres : hard

Catch them all in 1 lap :)

Thanks for the suggestion. Will file it away for the future if I do another series. 👍 Hop on in for another race.

After a bit of practice with my suggested race

Here some Times for TTCRS 8:

L1T1 : 32.007
L1 : 1´27.384
Best Lap: 1´21.977

I´m a bit
Did I drove a different track than you or what´s the reason of the massive gap?

raVer

Only thing I can figure out is this. But note that I have the NTSC version. Tourist Trophy Mode>>Practice>>AR>>Free Run.

Which what shows up in your replay. Did you run it in TT instead of Arcade? That would make the difference with the tuning advantages. And I haven't received your pm yet. Times a wasting. :)
