This is a high speed track. While not as full throttle as HSR, it's plenty fast. Courses like these don't burn you with tricky switchbacks or hidden traps. Rather they lull you into complacency, getting you to take on more speed than you actually can handle.

I hope you all enjoy the Series. Feel free to ask questions about this series, point out anything I might have missed and make suggestions for a future Fall/Winter race series if there is enough interest. There is a lot that I could have added but couldn't because of my own and TT's game limitations.

  • Longer races with pits for fuel and tyres
  • Concise detailed spreadsheets for teams and such
  • Different bike classes ie. Balang_479's series
  • Wt penalties, ie. Abud's SuperGT and GTPLMS's series
But the smart thing is to start small and do what my talent allows. Maybe that will be in the future. Although I would be pleased to no end if TT2 came out and the game did it all. Any tips as to how I would put together nice spreads like Abud's/TheStig13/Balang_479 and get them up onto a thread would be a Godsend. But remember that I'm a noob to that stuff and I will need detailed info. Step #1 do this. Step #2 do this and so on. I follow instructions well. That's why I like the The Tuning Challenge so well because all I have to do is read and drive.

I do like TT's penalty system better than GT4's. Much more sensitive. At least in the Arcade race mode.

And last week's race with RacerPaul.

GS races currently on Hiatus.

Enough of my ramblings.

Let's Ride!

First couple of trys in. Going good until turn 8D on last lap and was awarded with a 10 second free ride at 31mph :banghead:. Second ride resulted in a 12 second drop 👍. A third with different tyre choice was surprisingly similar to 2nd run. Still, with being wide on a number of turns, room for improvement.

? for non-noobs. Is tyre wear the same with all or does it differ bike to bike similar to GT4? I haven't run the races to date to keep it fair for all. Wouldn't want me to smoke the competition unfairly.

So, about number 7 on the rules...

"Save your replays even if you don't think you'll be on the podium"

That implies we have to present it. What if we don't have a way to show it to you?

Only as a last resort in case there is a question about your run. Scout's honor is the rule here. Most we/I would request would be the above info and your lap times. Saving your replay allows you to pull them up later. Most of us know each other on GTP and our abilities and we will get to know you too. Not to worry. You'll probably beat me. Most everyone does. Except that one time last week that Viperin didn't. :sly: One time a year. Let me enjoy it.

What I will do is to post the next race thread as usual on a Wednesday and then work on the results from the previous race for a few days. But I will post my times on the thread before I open any submitted times.

Just ride, ask questions and have fun. Pretty simple. :)

Okay so basically for any times that seem to be out of the ordinary. Gotcha. Thank you!

It has been a while since I have last played TT (or any other motorbike game), and my first run showed that with plenty of penalties and off track excursions.

Back up and running with new computer. $1,000 bucks later. Added 20 sec penalty for late entries so the forgetful still submit a day later.

With new flat screen thread looks barren. :dunce: Will have to do some upgrades to next one. :)

You will notice that my results are up early. Deadline has not changed. Never having run a race series before I inadvertantly opened two riders submissions by mistake. Just a habit of replying to people. My race week is done. My apologies to all. Will try not to be a space cadet from now on.

G'Day all.
I have cleared the decks of my other Racing commitments and will be able to concentrate on having a red hot go at this tonight.
Good luck all :)

Edit : Race completed, times sent.

Times sent.

I only managed to get one clean race, guess I was just was pushing too hard. But all my flying laps were pretty close, all were within 0.8 of a second so I was pretty happy with that.

I really enjoyed the game again, looking forward to the rest of the season.

Well I'll be :)...I did alright.
Wonders never cease !! I reckon El Capitan will probably trip me up though.

Good luck all.

Nice run Viperin. Only thing that could have made it better would have been some Benny Hill music during the last 4 laps. :)
