As far as future series are concerned, I'd prefer TT Mode. I like to be able to tweak the bike & rider
Otherwise, you did a fine job with the series. Thanks for all the effort 👍
couldn't have said it better myself 👍 thanks Mark :)

Times submitted and as it is after deadline here is bikesim replay link for PAL users - http://ttbikesim.com/community/single.php/652

I ended up doing a random selection of bike as all the various comparisons made me confused :dunce:

I ended up with the Yamaha YZF_R1 and a tidy little unit it is too !

Took a few attempts to get a clean Race but happy with final effort - Best lap 1' 41 . 4xx .

As for my thoughts on the series - Brilliant 👍
An excellent effort, weekly racing nice and snappy.
A good mix of multi lap Races and hotlaps. Also a good mix of bikes and circuits, something for all levels of skill.

I will certainly be entering any future Tournaments, and am very happy with the current format.
For what it is worth, the RPP challenges use TT mode and allow scope for tuning and tweaking, I believe this series should stay Arcade as then everyone is pretty much equal at start line, it is then more a Rider vs Rider challenge and not who is the best tuner.
A tournament could of course be run in parallel for those desiring tuning.

Good luck all.

having slept on it, and bearing in mind that TT mode is still where i'm happiest, i agree with what you're saying 👍

Appreciate all the imput. Was thinking about what DJ had said. I do enjoy the tuning side a lot. It's just that I'm a moron when it comes to it. We all have our faves in life. Mine is swimming which I know like the back of my hand/fin. Very similiar to his passion which is bikes. He looks at the tuning screen and goes to work like it's nothing. I do it and I just sit there with the Deer in the headlights look. :dunce: I do like the fact that Arcade does level the field. So I don't get really creamed. Now that GTPLMS is winding down I may have some time in between RL and my Referee duties to get some time in at RPP's.

I'll try to be careful about the questions I ask though.

As not to be a pest.

Results up Wed pm / thurs am.

After five laps to finish 12 thousandths behind RP ? Woohoo !!!
That is some close Racing, width of a wheel maybe ? Awesome.
( The fact the leaders had finished their Race, packed up the bikes and had a cup of tea before we finished is neither here nor there  )

Congrats to all podium finishers and a special mention to RacerPaul on winning the series. A brilliant effort.
Also would like to mention the absolutely amazing level of skill demonstrated by DJBaker & Mthielen.
That is some seriously impressive Riding. World Class
I am just glad they entered the series late :scared:

Also have to mention our fearless leader again.
Well done on running a tight ship 👍
Extremely enjoyable

thanks Viperin, i'm very happy to have won the series :D

and yes, dj and mt are on another level :boggled: i'm well aware that if they'd done every round, the best i could have
hoped for was a podium but i'm happy to bask in the glory of the top spot for a little while hehe :D

well done to all who took part. it was a fun, well run series  hats off to oldmodelt 👍

and of course, you're all very welcome to join in the ongoing championship and other events over at my place http://racerpaulsplace.myfastforum.org/forum12.php&sid=c6a30c8efd704b5a89ecda362764d070 and if any of you that feel more comfortable in arcade
mode and using other than pro mode, wish to post some events using those styles, feel free to do so 👍

i'll hop on whatever bike you choose and give the different way of doing things a go

edit: seeing as i'm admin over there, and i can do whatever i want lol :D i've set up a section for non-pro handling
and arcade mode events 👍

Thanks for props guys, & congrats to Paul on a well deserved title. It was some good racing with a nice mix up in the finishing order at times. Props to everyone that participated. 👍

I was looking at what it would have taken to challenge Paul for the title & noticed that the points aren't right. Viperin's total is one point low from Round 5 on, & the final totals are generally messed up. Not being knit picky. Just figured I'd mention it since I noticed it.

Also, I agree that it makes sense for future races here to remain in Arcade Mode. It does level the playing field a bit, & seems to attract more participants. I can always get my tune on over at Paul's Place.

Oops! :ouch: Places are good but the points are way off this week. Will fix.

Final results are fixed. And have given Viperin the extra point he was due earlier. Added it to final total. Thanks for the heads up DJ. And shame on you other guys for not telling me. :grumpy: Six billion people could have seen this and made fun of me. :dunce:

yes, indeed. and how about we all meet in the middle here, and say that in all events here we should all use semi-pro handling mode?

I can't speak for Viperin. But I don't have a problem with you using any kind of handling mode. I think he was talking about the bike tuning ie. suspension, that kind of stuff. Stuff he's really awful at. :sly: I could use the pro control if I wanted too. But it would be unfair to all involved.

i was hardly going to mention any kind of points miscalculation when i was on top of the tables :guilty::cheers::cool::D
👍

that was just a 1/2 cut thought thought popped into my head last night, then spilled out on that post

probably its best ignored :D

No probs. I have deleted much of my long winded diatribe from above. These posts sometimes don't convey the good natured humor in my words. :guilty:

Congrats on the series win and to Viperin and DJ for the podium. 👍 Submitted time over at RPP after driving through the syrup with the brick.
