this is an idea I've had for a LONG time and I think I've figured out how to make it work
basically a GT, GTS, LMP(depending on how crazy people wanna go)
GT class would be mostly the GT300 and touring car type race cars (and similar) in the general 550ppish area.
GTS would consist of GT500 ,GT3 and LMGT style cars probably in the 640ish range
prototypes... havnt figured out where to set them at yet.
obviously the games reward system won't recognize class wins, but class results will be kept track of seperatly.
i have figured out how to keep the PP honest within the classes by setting the limit and having the GT class cars enter the track, once they have entered the limit will be reset and GTS field will enter
and the process will be repeated for prototypes.
race lengths will be determined if there is enough interest to run this thing but I'd like to see LONGER races, nothing less than 10-15 laps (depending on track) with REAL endurance races on the schedule.
a few friends and I expirimented with this idea during the Rolex this year. the all day practice session went great and everyone agreed it would work out, but when race time came all but 3 of us bailed so we didnt get a real test...
If there is enough interest I will come back with a real set of rules
