Will GT Planet be adding a category in the tunes section for Project Cars? Or at least a sub category in this forum for photo mode and tunes?

I know when I get the game on the 7th that I'll definitely be looking for a good setup site/forum. I'm actually kind of happy I have to wait 5 days so there's plenty of good setups by that time. 👍

I wish praiano would get a ps4+decent wheel+pcars and then open up a new garage in this sub forum. This guy did real magic with his GT6 tunes.

His tunes were definitely a good base to start with. But with my driving style, I had to alter them a little bit to gain another 1-2 seconds.

With pcars on the other side, it don't think it will be that easy again to find a general setup to make the cars drivable and faster like it was in Gt6. It also depends a lot on the driving style. For the first time, i want to develop my own tunes because the changes feel more real. In Gt6 it was about finding the "trick" of the car to get it fast on every track.

Of course, as i understand - first you have to make the car "feel" right for you, and then you can work on finding some speed and hammer out 10 laps in a row within 1-2 tenths of a sec. I could drive fast right away in praianos tunes back then. Setups for PCars have to be separated by Track and Input Method as well as Weather of course.

Praiano is posting tunes occasionally on our site. As far as I know he's simply not got the finances to get on this train just yet. Hopefully he will one day.

I can't wait to get tuning on this game, i love finding extra time when tuning, it can be so rewarding especially if it gets you top spot on the leaderboard.

For me, it's just as rewarding once you sort a car out so it will drive perfectly for me. I very rarely am fighting for top spot in leaderboards (I see you are though looking at your DC laptimes! )

I'm also glad that us PS players are going to finally have a decent simulator where we can tune things using real world tips and techniques... instead of learning as we go and making stuff up like we've had to on GT6. No more camber settings to 0.0/0.0 !! :banghead:

Yeh GT tuning wasn't great , to be honest i like shift2 better, more tuning options. But yes getting the car to ride to suit you is very rewarding.
As for DC am kinda fed up with it now, the one 1 is just silly, DLC cars should not rule leaderboards.
Only got the Red line DLC, think im done with it now.

I bought the season pass. I just love all the cars, and it's great for photography. I'm not really playing the game anymore though, just completing the DLC events then back to photos when I get the time.

Never played Shift 2, even though I've got it sitting here. Bought it on a whim one day and it took me 4 months to take it out the packaging... and it's been sitting there ever since. :boggled:

DC is a lot better than i expected, its a good game really. For me it was just time killer till pCARS. I loved Shift 2, it was a very had game to master because of its problems, but once you got to grips with it was mint.

the only cars I enjoy driving in DC these days are the Caterham SP/300.R and the P1. everything else is a handful I can't be bothered with. but I always knew it was just a stop-gap / test of the new T300 until pCARS came out.

Yeah it's a great arcade racer. Probably the best I've played. It even has pretty good physics, by this I mean that cars behave pretty soundly and realistically compared to many arcade racers that just make up a physical world for it.

And exactly, as it's the only notable racer for PS4 (screw you NFS) before PCars comes along, that's why I bought it too.

ps. It's useless with a wheel though, everything just understeers.

I found that if you crank the FFB up to 100 the cars are a lot more responsive but tbh there's been so many cars I've taken out and completed less than one race because they handle like crap.

I like the Zonda r best, its the most balanced car of the fast stuff. Thats with the wheel set to 540 tho.

Am sure i will never go back on it tho once pCARS is out :)

Yeah its clearly not built for the wheel in mind. It's a great kickback on the DS4 though, good fun.

Will we be able to pull tune files on PC, zip them, and post them online for others to use?
