I tried it on Deep forest raceway in the Historic Racing Car Cup and lost badly to a Chapperl 2J and a Toyota 7. I put a stage 2 turbo in it. Does any body know a good set up that will make me win?
I dropped my speed down to 160 something .. Areodynamics i maxed up , brakes F4 B2 .. That was all i did and romped round steadily doing 1.10 to 1.14 laps if you average 1.14 per lap you should win , practice on the circuit first then take your time to pass everyone once in the lead it is just a steady drive round. .. Sorry max 1.14 laps.
I use the same for the other race .. Only you need to take the lead from the start .. Move to the left asap and try to cut the lead car at the bend (restart the race until you get the lead) .. The big difference with this race is one crash and it is over , you need to drive 5 sure and steady laps and don't panic. ( That is using the Mark IV with no tune it is over.) But it is possible to win with the Mark IV. I found the Mark IV to pull all over the road and like you i would love a tune for this car for this track .. I like the race it is as good as the FGT Championship nice and tight competition.
Not sure if you still need it, but this is what I used in the 'Historic' (Deep Forest Raceway) race with no issues. Just break in straight lines only!
Anyone with improvements please feel free...
Aero - Full 35/60 Stage 2 Turbo Kit (Stage 3 hurt the acceleration a bit much) Top Speed - 168 - She'll run out of steam on the final half-mile straight, but you'll get good enough acceleration elsewhere to make up for it. LSD - 20/40/20 Suspension (Front/Rear)
RHA -26/-30
SR 17/14.7
Ext 8/8
Comp 8/8
ARB 4/4
Camber(-) 2.7/1.3
Toe 0/0.05 Brakes 5/5
For the Côte track, you'd be safe cranking down the top speed even lower.
