Tuning Order

There isn't such a thing as a tuning order. If I'm wrong, please correct me. Just buy the most expensive parts or "racing quality" parts.

Well, I do have something of a tuning order. :sly:

First, tune to the power and weight specs you will run... This is important because if you tune the suspension first and then mod the weight and power you will more than likely end up with a suspension that is not optimized.

So, tune weight, then power, then suspension. When tuning suspension, tune the LSD and brake balance according to the results of your testing during the tuning session. 👍

As for what parts... I rarely go across the board using the absolute best parts. In fact, most of my tuning is done with cost effective parts.
I only buy full racing parts on the transmission, suspension, and LSD. The weight reductions rarely go to stage 3 and with engines I usually do the port polish and engine balancing first. However, when tuning to a specific HP it is best to do the PP and EB last as they can not be undone (where as various exhaust and turbos can be changed after being installed).

Hope that all helps.

Well i usually just buy the parts in the order they appear in the tuning-shop menu's (i.e Exhaust, then Brakes, then Engine, etc)

Then test the car out as it is with those parts, and takes notes on what i need to adjust, reduce, increase, etc

Then give it that basic tune, test it again, and then focus on 1 part at a time 'till each one is fine-tuned

But i haven't tuned a car that in-depth for a while now, most of the car's i drive now handle good as they are (stock RX-7's, etc), and if not i've just dealed with it and driven them the best i could make them

I'm quite similar to Kurei actually, but I usually end up tinkering with tiny things like trying how different LSD-settings effect on the cars handling, and how brake balance setup alters the entry line to the corner.. and in the meantime, I try something new with wing or suspension values.
