Hey guys,

I'm a newbie to GTP and to tuning in general (so please don't be too harsh). Can anyone suggest some tuning settings for the NISSAN R92CP Race Car '92? I've put a stage 4 turbo on it, but wanted some advice on how to stop the wicked oversteer once the tyres (medium racing) get near the orange.

Also, can anyone recommend a tire choice that would be optimal for the length of races in the World Supercar championship (professional events)?

Thanks heaps guys!

Number one. dont mix different tyre compounds. I found that if you do the car will start to have tendancy to spin out when the tyres start wearing down. Try and keep the brake settings the same 6/6 or 7/7.

The GT Championship in professional is easy to win once you have gotten used to the car. One thing to remeber is pit strategy if you get it wrong you may not be able to come in first position.

I have finished this race without any aditional parts for the car. I only changed ride hieght, gearing, suspension (I always go with more camber on the front about 3.5 and 1.9 on the rear with 0 on the toe settings).

Thanks for the advice Marty, it is greatly appreciated. I managed to win with RSH compound tyres, which did the trick. The only downside to the power is that you fry the tyres, especially on enduros.

Thanks again mate for the info.

I personlly mixed tires to an extreme advantage. Medium Hards on the rear so they last with the front mediums and keep medium tire grip on the front for better handling. Soften the rear springs 1.0 to 1.5 for better weight transfer (better grip during acceleration). Camber ft 2.5 rr 1.5, if set too high it increases you braking distance. Brakes 4/4 and when braking be sure to break in a straight line, these rear engine LMP's don't trail brake well unless you reduce rear brake power. Also don't slam on the brakes, ease into them, just like in real life, your able to keep better control stability. LSD 20/40/15, better throttle-on turning coming out of turns, but watch for oversteer, increases ability to slightly change direction better by simply letting off throttle. Loose the big turbo. This car is capable of winning stock. The mass majority of wheel spin and eating up rear tires is coming from that big turbo.
Practice with the car to get used to it. It is a touchy machine. It jumps from corner to corner extremely fast, so you have to get your braking points down pat for each track. Also watch throttle control, don't slam it down coming out of corners.

Good luck.

Hey J,

Thanks for the tips. I've managed to get through alright now, though i'm thinking of dropping the turbo. The tires should last heaps longer then. Thanks also for the tuning tips, i'll definitely give them a go.

All the best
