Has anyone figured out how or where to pass on this track in these wide cars? It's a good thing full damage isn't on. Can't wait to see how the race turns out.

Me to, it's such a narrow track especially at the first turn and the second it's going to be hectic and if we do 16 people :ouch:

I'm Lost What do I need to do to get in the practice room. What do i Need to do to my ps3 so this will work

Nothing. Go to Turtle Town under the "community" tab in GT Life, and join their lounge. Everyone practicing should be there :) 👍

NOTE: Mbobb/Turtle racer, this question seems to come up a lot. Maybe it would be a good idea to update the OP with instructions how to join the practice rooms to eliminate confusion in the future?

Great practice, I'm feeling confident for 2moro on the laps I focused on I did good, just have to not zone out or lose focus on the race and I will be good.

It also seems like 1 pit stop will be enough in this race and good luck to everyone 2moro!

You did very well 1redsox2! 👍

Turtle Racing League – Enduro Racing Series
Race 6: Eiger Norwand Short Track
Car: CUSCO DUNLOP SUBARU IMPREZA ‘08
Laps: 40
Tires: Racing Hards
Date: August 4, 2012
Prize: 1966 or 1967 Birthday Ticket

The “Golden Rule” of Motorsports
“It is the responsibility of the overtaking driver, meaning the car that is attempting to execute the pass, to make sure that the pass is made cleanly and incident free.”

Rules

You are expected to follow The "Golden Rule" of Motorsports and adhere to the GTPlanet Online Racing Rules and exercise Good Racecraft at all times, especially in turn 1.

Policies

It is the policy of this league (except Division X) for you to hold your position in turn 1 and not try to improve it unless the following situations occur: 1) The driver directly in front of you is asleep on the start. 2) The driver directly in front of you runs off course with at least 2 wheels off the track. 3) Obvious race incidents that must be avoided. Division X drivers must observe this policy for as long as we are having mixed division races. There is no sense in causing an incident in the congestion of the first turn. Furthermore, it is inappropriate to take advantage of other drivers doing their part to keep turn 1 incident free.

Procedures

Racing begins at 10pm Eastern / 7pm Pacific and all drivers will be racing together in the TURTLE_Division2 lobby (including Division A) until we have enough drivers to start using the divisional lounges. The final results of each division will be separate.

Dive Bombing

Dive bombing is unacceptable and only results in accidents. It is not the same as passing under braking. Dive-bombing is when a trailing car intentionally brakes late to dive underneath the car in front of them as they are turning into a corner. The trailing driver must move to the low groove for at least 3-4 seconds prior to corner entry, so that the leading driver can see the trailing drivers intentions in his mirror. However, running the low groove is not a guarantee that he will allow you to pass, it is only an indication that you wish to pass him on the low side.

Penalties

The corner cutting penalty system works very well on this track so we shouldn't have any issues with corner cutting.

Quitting

Drivers are expected to finish the races they start no matter what position they are in. Rage quitting is frowned upon! :grumpy:

Notices

Although you are welcome to use microphones during the race, they should only be used to communicate your proximity to other drivers in order to avoid an incident. Otherwise, either mute them or make sure any background noise is non-existent.

Network Issues

Please reboot your PS3 and clear your game cache before entering the lounge.

New Members

If you are unfamiliar with how to find the Turtle Divisional Lounges you will be racing in, go to the Community tab of GT Life and find the appropriate Turtle lounge, click on the coffee cup, and then click "join"

Reminders

Be sure to break in your car. If you did not get a chance to break it in, you should at least change the oil.

Race Incidents

Legitimate complaints are encouraged, they insure a better racing environment for everyone. Complaints should be directed by "Private Message" to the race steward of the race in which the incident occurred. Please include race number, lap number, and time of incident. A ruling will be announced after a video review by an independent steward.

Final Note

Race Clean and Have Fun!

The only user ID I see is Turtle_Town - I do not have an FR from the divisional room. Or is that the Lounge I race in tonight?

I just sent you the FR. I am sorry about that, I have no idea why I would have sent you one without the other.

Ahhh - thank you sir!! I was getting a bit worried! I am looking forward to my first race - will probably hang back since I am one of the new kids to get a feel of things. Thanks again sir!!

Hey s0ul_chicken, I look forward to racing with you tonight. :)

Great race guys, although I didn't do great (my pedal was messing up at the beginning for a couple laps). Overall though a great, fun race and hope to see you all next week. Grats DREX.

Did you guys do another race after?
