TURTLE RACING LEAGUE - TYRO Racing Series - BEGINNERS SERIES!

I've watched the replay numerous times, from multiple fields of view. It's hard to really get a good grasp of things as a lot happened. Here's what I saw on the last lap:
Coming into turn 3, I went wide and Otaku took the inside line, Otaku took the inside curb to much and jumped it sending him into me just a bit, then both of us went through turns 4 and 5 side by side, both of us slowed up trading a little paint here and there trying to allow respectable driving room, allowing hj to be right on our bumpers. We where both slow coming out of turn 5 and HJ was trying to carry his momentum into t6. HJ took the extreme inside line, causing his front to get into the back of Otaku, causing him to get into me. I don't know if it was lag on my replay but it looked like hj let off his controls and got into Otaku again sending him into the wall a bit.
I have no complaints over Otaku and myself getting tangled up a bit. It was clean for the most part the entire race. Last lap we where all pushing hard. I'll leave it at this:

The "Golden Rule" of Motorsports - "It is the responsibility of the overtaking driver, meaning the car that is attempting to execute the pass, to make sure that the pass is made cleanly and incident free."

Thanks wins! Also, as said in the rules NO DIVE BOMBING ALLOWED! That means when I look to my left and right I see no part of another car and I have the way to take a turn how I want. If there was a car side by side with me then it clearly would be a clean pass if no contact is made, so just for future reference, these series to me is NOT about winning, I take it as a opportunity to become a much better cleaner driver and at the same time a very fast driver. Good racing by everyone, and remember, its never feels good to make a dirty pass, but it feels wickedly awesome to make a clean pass.

Is it ok if i cannot make it to every race? Do i have to notify somebody? And since there is a rim color, we can change rims, but that is the only mod money wise?

It's okay if you can't make every race. Heck, I race 2 times every 5 weeks. Just post in this thread the day of the race so you won't get removed from the drivers list.

And you can't change rims (as far as I know) if the car you are racing doesn't have rims that are paintable, just leave them stock colors and run your car paint.

You basically buy your car, paint the car and rims if you're able, then break it in and show up at 8 to race.

Welcome to TYRO, changing rims is acceptable. Adjusting brake bias and torque split in cars that you can stock is also allowed.

Sorry I missed you guys on Saturday Night, I've told Psycho about it, but forgot to share in the forums :ouch: For the most part, I've been crazy busy, recently I took on a second job and it's going to drastically effect my GT5 time for a few months. I'll make any race that I can, bit I'm not going to be anywhere near as consistent a participator as I've been since joining. If all goes well, this working 2 jobs thing won't last past the new year, keeping my eye on the prize on that one.

My new hours look like it's going to be a typical 9 to 5 M-F job 1, and M/W/F 5:30 on, and some Saturdays. I'm not complaining about it, it's 2 very awesome jobs and I could not pass up the opportunity to work on the cars I'll be seeing come through. For example, this is the last car I worked on:

That was a project for job 1. Job 2 is even more in the spotlight and that company is the official graphics sponsor of the XDRL (Xtreme Drag Racing League), with 3 of the top 6 cars so far being customers. So for the next few months I'm going to be working a lot!

Anyhow, I'll be joining up with any race I can, already going through Turtle withdrawal. Please bare with me as I'm not around as much, but I'll be back in time!

I got eBay handle covers for 40$, worked just fine. I wrapped the nozzles, but I can't say how long the material will hold, they are a little small and the overall curve is great on them.
 
Yea I'm surprised that the stuff stuck to it, those things are so small.
The car is nice though. Is that just a show car. I thought it was illegal to have a chrome car.

I found it to be quite the hand full on deep forest. You can't get hard on the brakes while turning or you'll find yourself waving at on coming cars even with a BB of 2/1. Also, getting on the gas mid turn will push you out hard. Knowing where to half throttle is the key for this combo. Very good choices. I predict a lot of spin outs once the tires start to fade and people trying to keep up with the leaders.

Also, who's going to post the results from div 1 and div a this week? Curious as to what the overalls where for each division.
 
Yea I had it on and was ready to race Saturday night and it quit working again. They came and fixed it this morning so hopefully I should be good.

Good deal. That's usually how it goes, Internet works until you try doing something. Then, pfffffft, down it goes.

I was going to try and make practice tonight since I can't race this weekend, but its not gonna happen. I need a 9-5 m-f

When we race with Race modified (RM) cars, we have an option to change the number. It's just for looks, but #13 is the fastest number. It gives you .9 hp extra, just like when you have a red car, or add stickers to your car. Extra hidden hp. Shhhhh our secret.
