TURTLE RACING LEAGUE - TYRO Racing Series - BEGINNERS SERIES!

this league sounds great, but my normal driving hours are usually between 11pm-?am central time.

Are there any similar leagues for us night owls?
 
Anybody wanna practice Tyro tonight after I get back from seeing World War Z in 3D? I should be back by 11:30pm CST at the latest.

LoL well I can't make any promises, but I'm gonna try and get on after I get back from work. Should be around 2-230 am est.

Just go gentle on me. I haven't raced in about 2 weeks and that was just for a brief stint on Monza.

I'm not gonna be on. Got held up way to much and I'm still 2 hours from home. Been a crappy day so I'm just gonna sleep it off when I get home. Might be on tomorrow around 1230 eastern if anyone wants to mess around.
 
GT500 cars are really fun to drive they handle very well and have plenty of power. That should be a very fun race.

Hey Whitlock, next time your going to be on that early let me know, just post it in here. I'll meet you in turtle town. I always get up at 3am so I can have a couple hrs of practice before getting ready for work.

I drove the VW y'all are going to race this weekend around autumn ring this morning.
What a fun drive that car is. After 21 Laps in it this morning was running lap times within 1 1/2 secs of each other. That's good for me.
I am re- training myself this new philosophy I read " learn smooth and fast will follow" I still have a lot of work to do. Have a good one.

That's fine. I'm probably going to practice the enduro tracks. I've never had a proper run of Fuji nor driven a gt500 car. That's the race I'm looking forward to most on Saturday.

I love the GT500 cars, almost as much as the GT300's, which are my favorite cars in the game. The NSX at Fuji is by far the toughest race of the 3, the NSX loves to kick the rear end around and Fuji is a tough track for a car with that characteristic. Fortunately, we just ran Fuji in an NSX, so this one is almost the same.

Hey Whitlock, next time your going to be on that early let me know, just post it in here. I'll meet you in turtle town. I always get up at 3am so I can have a couple hrs of practice before getting ready for work.

This should be a fun race, low powered cars on a tight track. Passing will be tough, there aren't any straights long enough to draft around someone, so it will be a matter of waiting for someone to make a mistake and go wide in a corner or something. I see some close racing in this one.

Couple things I realized this morning, don't over drive turn 1 and you could probably make a pass there. Because after that long straight some people are going to brake to late and have to take it wide.
And the penalties for the S's after turn 1 seem to be really lenient. So if your patient, wait for someone to overdrive the S's you could easily make a pass there also. My opinion.

Agree 👍 What kind of times were you getting? I've only ran about 5 laps in this car/track combo since I've been concentrating on practicing for the Flex races.

Was running high 1:28.03's to 1:29.2's a couple of 1:29.8's. I over drove turn 1 a couple of times. Your Lap times will be faster, I was only focusing on smooth inputs not real speed.
That. Car seems easy to drive. I got a good feeling from it.

I just sent you a FR on PSN, I should be on again til the same time this morning. I'm not 100 percent cause I have to get up at 9:30am for a 4 hour orientation :scared: I already don't sleep well lol

I was about to say you've been practicing a lot!! I ran 1'25.3xx I think. I believe there is a picture on the first couple of pages somewhere of my lap time. But that was with a car not fully broken in.

Yeah not that fast yet. After I ran a mock race in the stock car I fitted another with a stage 3 turbo just messing around. Got the times confused.
But I'll get there. Maybe give you some competition before to long. Ha Ha

I would bet on it! I went online today and couldn't even get in the top 5 in a shuffle lobby. I also switched to the roof cam view. I can see more of the track and I don't get that crazy cam shake.

I tried to find you last night to practice, but you weren't in your lounge or Turtle Town lounge. I'll be on tonight, probably 9-10 pm cst and will be practicing for either Tyro or Flex races.

Yes sir. I didn't get a load tonight and I slept all day. Probably around 10 est. when the kids go to sleep. Gettin their pajamas on now.

What are you wanting to run? I've only got the tyro car broken in, but I'll do the Flex tracks also. Or whichever is doing the Fuji and other 2 tracks
