Tyre Grip Issues?

Hi everyone. Just done the All Stars 5 race Championship in an 'almost' stock Ferrari 458. I bought a set of Racing Hard tyres as the were permitted for this event.

I had never used them in the game up until now and was shocked to find that I could barely keep the car on the road!!

When I went back to using the Sport Soft tyres I managed to win the races without to much trouble.

The grip difference was unbelievable. The racing tyres had almost no grip at all!! Are they not ment to have MORE grip than sport tyres?

Has anyone else noticed this?

Do you think its a bug?

I'm also struggling to make racing tyres work on roadcars. On stock suspensions they don't. But that's how it should be?

Sports tyres are more fun anyway, so maybe a good moment to change..

Perhaps there are depths to the racing tyres that we have never seen before.
I hope so, to stop all the kids slapping on some racing softs on every damn car they own and then calling themselves 'skillful' when they set a fast time.
Perhaps it's suspension, downforce, weight...

Do tires have maximum grip when they're white or blue? Red is bad right?

Tcs off or on? I feel tcs kills the ability to control the car on racing tires.

If I'm setting a fast lap, it's racing slicks for sure.

You sure? When blue in GT5 that meant they were cold. White was warm, red = bad.
