UCD Top 100 rarest cars in GT5

The easiest way is to start a new game on another account on the same PS3, and look at what is in your UCD on day 1. You can then use the first page of TornadoAlley's spreadsheet to figure out which list you're on and what your offset is.

I have checked, I am not on list ML 2. This is what I found.

On a second GT5 game, same console, I am on ML 1, my game says day 483 but it is equvalent to day 513 on the ML 1. A Prowler will appear on day 609, so it should be 579 in my game.

For my main GT5 game, I cannot check since the ML 1 list stops at day 1725 and I am at day 1771 in my game.

I added instructions for UCD checkers and car hunters in OP. Sorry for doing it so late.
If you have suggestions to make the things better, or more answers, feel free to do.

I just had a look at your instructions, I think it looks very good. Maybe the wording

"This means that if you lose a car (in a specific paint) from a day refresh, most likely you will never see it again."

is a little bit strong, though. It could say something like "you could have to wait a long time before seeing it again". Of course, if we had all of the colour data from our UCD lists, we could be more precise in this statement.

I'm forced to say it again. If you have a look at ML2, which has complete paint tracking, you'll realize that some cars are quite common. For example I counted not less than 13 2CV in Gris Bleu from an old update. But I'm still waiting (in day 3800) to see about 90 car variations, mostly muscle cars, but with some surprises too! Never saw, up to last Tornado update:

You can just imagine how many popped up only once!

With this rarity ratings, and medium player patience, I think that many people may end playing GT5 without the possibility to see some hundred cars more than once, so my 'strong' wording

This, with the hypothesis people use our UCD lists or go to UCD at every refresh, without losing one :sly:

 I hope I didn't make you type all this by hand!

I guess I should have known better, since I was talking to the colour expert. ;)

Ummm I'm not sure what to say about all or any of you.I've read thru this so called Master list this, Master list that & honestly I've either seen the cars listed or have alot of them in my garage & all I did was just play tha darn game.
Honestly getting these cars is not rocket science, just check ya UCD after EVERY 5 RACES cause I'm sure most of you know that it takes 5 races to completely rotate the UCD garage.Even better I just made a 2nd acct, helps me even more.
If I see a car I've never seen before & feel I won't see it again I buy it it's really a no brainer to that point.

Hey but if racking ya brain is your cup of tea then go for it.As long as there are new Seasonals & new DLC me personally I'll never run out of sweet a** cars to drive,I've hit the 20 million mark in credits probably over a thousand times already,I play everyday as well too, just a few hrs after work & a lot on weekends.I play I don't analyze, besides there are others like the guy who started this thread & the rest like him that can analyze for me.

No fears about it :D
You can filter this list from the cat using UCD2 '?'

Ehm... thank you for sharing your thoughts. Much appreciated criticism and contribution to the community. But maybe you have to read the AUP again as your post is against the forum rules.
Finally, I'm 100% sure I, and 'people like me' don't want to share my analysis with you, anyway.

Duck, thank you for your list and your hard work, I am now, using your list, the proud owner of 2 Prowler.
PS: It is true, a standard with working gauges. :-)

I guess you are our hero then, but no need to share your medical condition with us. 👍

Sorry I missed this earlier. A+. Very nice. I am stealing this for my own though for use in daily life. 👍👍

Please, don't feed the troll. I've my mouse pointer on mod report icon. I hope he learned he was wrong. If not, maybe 8 posts are enough for his gtp career.

All this because PD implemented a silly system for buying standard cars.
I agree. At first it seemed a system like in GT4, and was nice discovering about the 1000 days cycles. Other games use an unlocking system (ie, take 500 stars and unlock the supercar.... coool 👎 ). The GT5 system failed for two reasons:
- dupe glitch
- trades: it's 1000 times easier trading a rare car from a dupier than finding it in UCD.
- car rarity: I managed to collect tradable cars from trades, but I still have only a few of the untradable (Furai, Veyron, FTO TC etc). I just hope to be able to collect them by the end of the 3rd year.....

Outstanding work Duck, Finding the R8 Race Car 01 is giving me headaches lol
two accounts and still not seen it, on 1550 & 191 days, any advice please .

I have no clue with spreadsheets, do I have to scroll through both of those lists to find the car ?

Scrolling through would be a little arduous, I agree!

Have you found yourself on list 1 or 2 yet?
If not, follow Method#2 that Duck added to his OP recently, and that should point the way!

When you've found where you are, do a ctrl-F for the Audi, and it will jump to the next time it is shown as appearing :)

Yes I found the lists, I'll try, but ....... fingers crossed lol

If you are using TornadoAlley's downloadable .xlsx sheet, it is pretty easy. Don't underestimate your own ability to enter the information from your TV screen. It isn't difficult at all even though it may be intimidating. Remember, you don't have to know how the list works, only how to input your UCD. On the first page, simply make each box match what is on your screen starting in the upper left hand corner until all boxes are full. Click the blue button and it will find where you are and in which list. From there all you have to remember is that as you go down the spreadsheet you are going up the TV screen. That is, the cares you will encounter next are listed down the spreadsheet, but will appear on the top rows of your onscreen UCD. If you lose your place, just go back to the first page and start over or do a search for one of the cars in your current UCD and then compare those results to the cars around it.

Now, the bad news: If it doesn't find a match, you are in what is referred to a dead zone or dead spot. Until you come out of that zone, the list will be useless to you.

But if that's the case, you could be useful to the list :D

It did come-up with an error :( actually, not to worry though.

Moving days on on my second save, I found these below.

Day 235-237
Chaparral 2D Race Car '67
XJR-9 LM Race Car '88

Day 246
2D Race Car again, and the rare
WOODONE TOMS SUPRA '03

moved on 5 days
Day 251
The Pescarolo Courage - Judd GVS Race Car '04 sat in the UCD waiting for me to grab it :)
Best of all
Day 270
Audi R8 Race Car '01 as someone predicted it would :) thank you.

Hi Duck, I think this is the thread you wanted me to go to. I'm confused with the guide 'METHOD#2 (medium)'. I checked my UCD and my day and I think my rarest car in the UCD is the Mercedes-Benz CLK-LM Race Car '98 and my day is 2009. Now what? I went to the list and looked for the Mercedes but none of them were similar to 2009 days.
Forgive me if I'm not understanding this right.

Having a glance at the UCD lists, I'd say you are on master list 1 since I also cannot see the CLK-RM near day 2000 on list 2. Unfortunately, the data for this list has little info beyond day 1750 or so...

So it unfortunately looks like we can't really help in terms of seeing what cars are due in your UCD :(
Though we could cheekily ask you to help us log the cars in the UCD thread :P

Set them to share.
Then anyone who wants to glitch them will have to follow this list of instructions.👍
After you borrow the car.
Save game.
Exit game.
Delete game data.
Load game.
DO NOT install patches.
Switch to another car.
Save game.
Exit game.
Load game.
Install patches.
Enjoy.
does this still work i tried today and it didnt

I heard the borrow glitch has been fixed.

@all: the recommended method for players beyond day 1500 is METHOD 3!! It recalls method 2 but also states that if you don't find results, you are in a gap of the lists, sorry :(

Although it doesn't contribute much to the thread I would like to thank you for the lists. This thread is a great help in determining which cars I really need to buy from the UCD when they pass by.

Cheers!

For ML#2 a couple minor differences to TornadoAllay's list i noticed while double checking:
Day 52 - Toyota - ALTEZZA RS200 '98 29.609km (39.609km in list)
Day 53 - Mitsubishi - 3000GT SL (J) '95 (3000GT SL (J) '98 in list)
Day 96 - Daihatsu - STORIA CX 4WD '98 27.725km (22.725km in list)
Day 1799 - Subaru - IMPREZA Sport Wagon WRX STi Version VI '99 (Subaru - IMPREZA Sedan WRX STi Version VI '99 in list)

Posts like this are a good reason to continue the job :)

I can confirm that I marked the first three of the above list up when calculating prices of cars a while back - powermarty's corrections line up :)
Unfortunately the impreza sedan and estate cost the same so can't confirm that one :P I trust him though :D

I''ll copy this to the UCD thread, as it's both more relevant and more likely to get patched in :)
