Over the next few days I'll update the OP with the actual UK poll results in total and in regions. If anybody has any ideas for interesting ways to break the data out then let me know! (@Famine will... :) )

This isn't an exhaustive list of all the parties standing for election across the UK. I've included all the "main" parties across the regions (I think) and a few of the notable fringe nutters.

Please note that your vote isn't legally binding and that GTP will not be forming any kind of coalition.

Just pointing out you left out the British National Party.

I will be a first-time voter. Nigel Farage is standing in my constituency (Thanet South), and I do not agree with his/UKIP's policies, so I will therefore be voting tactically for the Conservative Party, who currently just ahead according to the latest polls. This is despite my political views being in-line with the Liberal Democrats.

I don't know if anyone told you but it is a secret ballot. Although any results and discussion from this will certainly be interesting.

Not taking the opportunity to vote for FUKP then :D

Also, if you have misspelt Blaenau Gwent, I didn't know the whole borough was standing as one party.

I wasn't sure whether to make the voters visible or not... despite asking that only UK voters participate... not sure what to do :)

I'll fix it... I speak no Welsh and did it from memory :D

EDIT: Can't fix it, sorry :\

Certainly not. I don't agree with what Murray is doing in principle, and I believe that he could potentially take away votes from 'serious' parties. However on the flip-side, he is trying to detract votes from Farage, which I wholeheartedly approve of.

How much is your vote worth? *
Alyn & Deeside - 0.591 of a vote, 1.9 times greater than the UK average. 60% of votes in 2010 were against the winning candidate.

Love me some gerrymandering.

Let's also not forget how the humanoid called this a "career defining" election before correcting himself to say country defining. Sky

Just checked out my local candidates... the Lib Dem candidate is about 19, and the photo's on his Twitter page are from a Beer Festival. I'm beginning to like this kid :D

Was cleaning the folks' gutters this morning (literally so, it's not a medical euphemism) and was able to drop moss onto the local Conservative canvasser. So that was nice.

Your one vote is unlikely by a huge margin to be the deciding vote. Vote for who you believe. That is of course assuming that the whole of the constituency don't see this and vote accordingly.

As for me. Already sent off my postal vote as I am voting in Lincoln but I am in Nottingham at uni. As I am a Labour party member I was kind of obliged to vote for them.
Plus I have met the candidate personally and she is really nice and trustworthy.

Whigs? Really? They were one of the better parties in centuries of old; disliked by the monarchy and favouring the power of the cabinet and not a 'first amongst equals' Prime Ministerial dictatorship. But they died out with the advent of Disraelian and Gladstonian politics. Long gone.

Any new parties with the same name are just riding on dusty tailcoats and looking for extra publicity.

There was a huge list of parties that I could have included... as I said I tried to get the "main" (or most recognised) parties and a few of the fun-fringers. I hadn't realised the Whigs were still on the go in any form! :D
I only realised because I saw their leader on The Daily Politics the other day. In between the snooker.

Who the hell are "Blaunau Gwent"? Are they some dissenters from Plaid Cymru?

Either one of the constituencies ended up on there by accident, or the Blaenau Gwent People's Voice party are still going 5 years after their supposed dissolution.

The former, I think, I got the list from the Independent's website, hadn't realised they weren't standing this time round. I was just trying to give some regional representation - sorry :) As this isn't the election-proper I don't imagine it'll hurt...

A valid point, however even the leader of the Medway Lib Dems has stated that voters for their party in South Thanet should vote for Craig Mackinlay (Conservative PPC) so Farage is defeated.

This was backed up further after I spoke to Russ Timpson (Lib Dem PPC for my constituency) who stated that it was not a target seat.

And here I thought our docket was overcrowded with 3 national parties, 1 large regional party...and the lovable Green "Party":sly:
