Whenever I try to race on the London track of the English Lightweight class, I don't even complete 1 lap (out of last corner) and the game just freezes up on me. I have even removed the game from my console and restarted it from the beginning again, and it still freezes. Thing is, it only freezes on that one race and nothing else. Completed the Top Gear race and have no problems, but when I race London, freeze time. Anyone else had that problem?????

Check your disc may have dirty marks on it use a soft cloth and clean the silver side of disc. straight lines from the disc's center to its outer edge. Don't wipe in circles.

I have deleted the game from the console, updated both the console and the game, and even used a different disc of the same game. Get to the same race and it happens again. Both discs are clean and scratch free.

When you said you have deleted the game from the console that would be your game data right and you said in your first post you started a new game and it still freezes, Try this delete your game data and start a new game and do this offline and see what will happen can you do that.

It was doing offline, not online

Everything was deleted, game and saved data. Tried it online, offline, 2 different discs, and the game still freezes on only one race. It doesn't happen to any other game or any other race on GT5. Just the lightweight class around London.

Have you tried it without updates and a new game and what did it do.

Did the same prior to updating. Only difference is picture went fuzzy, whereas after updating, the picture froze as a photograph but the sound kept playing. Hit pause and nothing appears on the screen so I have to shut it down and start again

It could be your PS3 laser that read the disc and it maybe malfunctioning a little bit and I really think it is you PS3.
