Thanks ;)

Did you have to do a lot of setups in the wheel for all the games (xbox & ps3) or are they pretty much plug& play?

Yes, plug and play and not plug and pray

Once you have set up each game either on the PS3 or Xbox 360 with the FF, Sen, ABS etc of your choice and save the settings onto the wheel you are good to go.

True. Sorry i expressed me badly there
"Gt3 RS is above the Turbo S in the range by porsche" for me

90% of the GT3RS buyers actually push the car
Where as 90% the normal Porsches bought by the people is soly for the image.
Porsche said once (during a visual documentation) that they know that 90% (or something around 90%) of their cars will never be pushed to what they could (and not even near it)

Hahaha, do you wanna bet on that?

If one owns a Fanatec wheel and needs an update to work with a game in the future (gt5/wrc/F1-2010) is it possible to download straight to ps3 from Wi Fi? Assuming the wheel arrives now and is plug and play ready for GT5p?

Reading this review I'm convinced I did the best thing in my case by ordering a G27 yesterday.
There's no doubt that the Fanatec wheels are good, but in my view they aren't worth the extra money they cost over a G27.
€369,90 for the GT3 RS V2 (with shifter set) is €120 or almost 50% more than the G27 (payed €249.9 for it), and it doesn't include shipping. Which was free with the G27.

And I've heard a lot more positive things about the customer support of Logitech.

Where? Online or in a store?

For me, G27 (240eur) would cost even cheaper… The PWGT3RSV2CSE (320eur) + Shifter Set (50eur) + Shipping Rates (29eur) comes up to 400eur! But hey, there is a significant difference (benefit) here, the Clubsport Pedals…

€280 if you compare like-for-like, which would be the gt3rs v2 @€180, standard pedals @€50 and shifter pack @€50. The clubsport pedals are €200 on their own which is nearly the price of the whole g27 set so not really fair to include them in the comparison.

It seems like there are plenty of people now with fanatec wheels that have positive customer service with Thomas himself, Do you know of a name or face of logitech? I think the customer service thing is over done.

€295 if you include the metal plate, because it'll be on surface where it can slide a bit.

Didn't think of the standard pedals, since they weren't used in this review so no comparison between these pedals and the G27 pedals.

The standard pedals, CSP's, and the Logitech pedals will all be in my upcoming review.

Well guys, I heard terrible things about Fanatec costumer service. I must tell you my experience at this moment.

I just bought 2 weeks ago the RS wheel with the CSP. A few days ago the wheel had a problem in game. A serious problem. I just made what Fanatec says to do: sent the email to e-support with all they requested, including a video (August 3rd). The next day I had a reply from Fanatec informing me that in fact the wheel had a problem and that they would send a new replacement wheel in a few days.
The next day I`ve been contacted from Fanatec with the information that the new wheel should be send this week.
Today I have the confirmation from Fanatec and UPS that the wheel is on the way and is arriving next Monday.

It´s more then fair for Fanatec to tell here my experience. Thank you Fanatec for your support.

PS - The wheel and the CSP are just great. I had a G25 (with zero problems, nothing to say about that) and I think is a good wheel too. But this one is fantastic. I`ll wait for the promissed CSShifter from them.

👍

Fanatec/Thomas once said that people are proned to only tell the negative experiences. It's good thing you told us your positive experience with Fanatec's customers service.

that's true and in marketing speaking it will take you 5 positive comments/ experience to get ride of one negative.
And people always tend to report negatives ones instead of positive ones. And these will spread more widely than positive ones.
But i had a look at the endor ag site and that gave me confidance in them + the fact that Thomas is so publicly active is a good sign.
And the few positive comments about their customer service here were really good.

When i ordered my wheel i was asking them for the CSP tuning kit. phoned and recieved an answer directly

Edit : Seems that Fanatec has recieved their shipement of PWTS UE.:dunce:👍:dopey:

Hi, i'd read loads on here about Fanatec, all the 100 page thread etc, plus loads elsewhere. Plus loads on G27(not prob free either) etc.
Fiftey Fiftey near beginning, but in end only one way to go(for me at least).
Ordered Fanatec GT3RS v2 CSP, Stand & couple of bits , turned out went smoothly enough(couple of bits came week later, not in stock), even if it hadn't knew Fanatec peeps would be doing there best.

Cheers BOB

ps i had that were it was hard to control wheel ie small movements, turn a little bit, but then have to turn back etc, sensitivity all to cock. This was with GT5P & PS3, messed with all the settings in the Game & on the wheel, that many combinations, so can't say exactly what i tried(but lots).
But got into a habit how i switched wheel on, switched on PS3, loaded game, used compatibility button etc, never had it since(some settings, steer with one hand), well certainly how it was.
No expert thou, complete novice.
pps some great info & peeps on here, bring on the/your game settings.

got my wheel clamp today: really good quality and it's heavy duty (fully metal). Wow
really quick delivery. 👍👍

What about the CS Pedal Tuning Kit?

Hey Thomas, we need this review…

The Tuning Kit will not be part of the wheel/pedal comparison. It requires it's own review/guide, as there is just too much info to fit it in with the larger review.

;)

Thanks Kikie I couldn't get it to show up. You my man are pyshic. Now if this guy could actually mass market this then we would have the ultimate wheel if he can make it work for PS3 and GT5.

I used the standard pedals for the comparison, but they were one of many things which would have blown up the length of the article.

But it is included in my rating scale. Just click on the link under my comparison.

Sorry, id like to ask a question but didnt feel it warrants a new thread.

Does anyone know if the difference between the 911 turbo S wheel and the 911 turbo wheel? Is it just 360 compatibilty

Have you guys seen these wheels made by Massimo Cubeddu??
Called Cube wheels. Super high quality materials and build. I am speaking with him right now to purchase a GT wheel w/ SLI pro and Paddles and a button box.

He also makes F1 wheels etc...

Very impressive imo.

Check the link for more pics of his different designs.
