Um... what? I think Bob needs a priest!

Watching my first B-spec race of the day to ensure my widget is good, and somehow, I'm in 2nd place in a Dodge Charger 440 R/T , beating a 427 S/C.

Um... did I miss something. I mean, wtf? This shouldn't be happening, and after the final results are in, I barely pulled it of by less than a tenth (although 3rd place was much farther back the majority of the race).

So, with this new update, I've heard mention of B-spec changes, but this kind of heroics seems supernatural.

I guess my question is, did my Bob sell his soul? It's the only logical answer I can come up with.

What grid position did both cars start.
What tuning level gap Is there between 440 and 427 what were the PP of the 440s
What B-spec level is your Bob.
What track is it
what tires was bob on.

All of these will answer if bob was just over powered than the 427 driver.

In the OP, I mentioned that I was checking my widget, which I got from Yonis on here, making the event a remote race. I'm sorry this was not more clear. Bob's level was 35, the race was at Laguna Seca, and the tires aren't listed. Grid start was 7th, tuning level gap (whatever that is) was unlisted, again because it's a remote race. As such, Performance Points were unlisted as well.

I watched the race with my daughter, and couldn't believe what I saw. I wish I would've saved the replay, but I didn't have the feature selected. 2nd to 3rd wasn't even close until the final lap, although the 427 S/C had remained at least 1.5-2 seconds behind, with no noticeable errors or collisions.

Nothing about this race made any sense... but I'll gladly it.

Update: Log finally refreshed on GT Home, and my driver level was 38, not 35 as originally listed.

Driver Level 26
Grid position 11
PP 518

Vs

Your driver
Driver level 38
Grid position 4
PP 466

Yes second place.

The PP/handling of the Lower B-spec car was not big enough to counter the B-spec level of the Higher driver plus the AC427 started down the grid giving it a harder time having to pass the rest.
What you also missed was that a challenger R/T 70 was also keeping pace with you.

B-spec Level 26.
Grid position 6
PP 490

So in fact the B-spec level was high enough to keep both higher powered cars at bay

Theres another factor as well Mood arrow of drivers Does effect B-spec remote which alters driver skills and risks taken.

(Beating the shelby 427 would be another story that requires Massive B-spec Level difference.)
