Unable to lock brakes even with ABS off

I am using an old Fanatec CSR wheel through Drive Hub. I have my pedals calibrated and everything works properly in other racing games. However, in GT7 I cannot lock the brakes with ABS off (the ABS light is amber on the gauges). It takes forever to stop. I went into pedal calibration and lowered it to 85% and still not even a chirp from the tires. How do I fix this?

I question what you are trying to do in the first place - but ABS in GT7 is essentially 'perfect' so the "forever to stop" is just the ideal braking distance for that car & the conditions. Turning ABS off isn't going to make it any better because you've just lost the perfect braking assist.

If you are for, whatever reason, genuinely just wanting to run without ABS - the last physics revision simplified braking a lot so unless you're in some high power Formula/GT machinery, you're going to struggle to lock up even if you're trying to. There's nothing to fix.

I fixed it with a shutdown and reboot of my PS5. I now have full braking force again. Thanks for your input.

If the bar on the left side of the speedometer is going to the top, then you have full braking force. If it doesn't, you don't.

It was, and I didn't. It made no sense to me either but by rebooting the PS5 full braking returned. It's a game bug for sure and not my pedals because like you said, the bar reached 100% on all pedals but the game was somehow reducing it substantially like ABS was stuck on.
